President Trump pardons Susan B. Anthony and now Democrats are MAD!

This morning President Trump pardoned Susan B. Anthony during a woman’s suffrage event at the White House:

The act of executive clemency was announced at a White House ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment to the US constitution, which expanded the right to vote to women.

Anthony was fined $100 for her illegal act, a half-century before the expansion of the franchise.

“Signing a full and complete pardon for Susan B Anthony,” Trump said. “She was never pardoned.”

Trump had announced his intention of pardoning someone “very, very important” in a conversation with reporters on Monday.

So you would think this would be heralded, or at the very least seen in a positive light considering her crime was voting as a woman.

But you would be wrong. The Lt. Governor of New York called this an indignity and claimed Trump treated Susan B. Anthony “like a criminal”:

You’ve got to be kidding me. This is what hatred of Trump does to people, it makes them completely loopy so that they see evil where there is none. He PARDONED her because she was never pardoned, and Hochul says he treated her like a criminal? If you want to criticize him for doing this to get the female vote, that’s at least a legitimate argument. But to say he treated her like a criminal is off-the-charts absurd. What a deranged lunatic.
