President Trump, RNC just raised a WHOPPING amount, blowing past Obama’s re-election campaign…

Both President Trump and the RNC have just raised a huge amount of money for 2020, out-raising Obama and the DNC for the same period in 2011:

THE HILL – President Trump’s re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Tuesday they had raised $105 million in the second quarter, a huge haul that is greater than what President Obama raised over a similar period in 2011.

The two entities reported a combined total of $100 million cash on hand, and raised more money online in the second quarter than in the entire first half of 2018, according to a campaign press release.

Trump and his committees raked in $54 million, while the RNC pulled in $51 million. It’s unclear from the release how many donors pledged money or how big their donations were.

Obama’s re-election campaign raised $47 million over the same period in 2011, while the Democratic National Committee took in $38 million.

The fundraising was attributed largely to TV and digital advertising, as well as other campaigns surrounding the 2020 election.

$105 million is a ton of money. It wouldn’t surprise me if they collectively reach a billion by next year’s general election.

But just as much as we need Trump to win, the RNC needs to help Republicans win back the House and bolster our majority in the Senate. Clearly what we have now isn’t working.

  1. STOP COMING TO TEXAS!

    We’re full. Go back.

Also, and almost equally important, Do Not Give Money To The RNC! All you’re doing is helping RINO scumbags like John Cornyn meddle in senatorial elections to get more RINOs (and Democrats, like in Alabama) elected. Give directly to your candidate of choice, and if you max out, give to their PAC. NEVER give to the party.

    1. AMEN, CHRIS! Donations should go straight to the candidates and not the RINOC. Also, for those coming to change our great state, it would be cheaper to ship them via Greyhound bus to Cali and NY…or Canada? No, wait, we’re friends with Canada.

And for those who hate Trump so much that they will vote for “any Democrat,” that’s like eating dog poop cuz ya don’t like broccoli! :chuckle:

  2. While this is good news, I’m sick to death of all the 202 area code calls (Washington D.C.), the “Trump” calls (various names with “Trump in it – based off of caller ID) and all the other robo calls I’ve been getting from these people (RNC). Yes, I want Trump to beat the you-know-what out of ALL democrats but this is the worst it’s ever been in my experience.

And if the damned GOP was more honest, honorable and conservative, I might actually contribute to this campaign. But as it stands, I feel THEY betrayed us, not Trump. So, not one penny. At least not right now.

    1. Yep, I’m glad he’s winning and I’ll vote for Trump this time around – but the RNC isn’t getting a dime from me directly. I’ll donate individually to candidates who are moving the ball forward.

  3. That is A LOT OF MONEY! I think Trump will win easily but we have to get the House back and keep the Senate.

    1. Our son just moved from one of the more “conservative” areas of NY state and he’s never been happier and a lot less poorer. One of the first things he did when he got here was to buy a gun and take concealed carry classes! (Thankfully he left his ex up there where she’s more comfortable, lol!)

      1. @philliesthoughts I moved from Illinois to Iowa mainly for economic reasons, but getting my carry permit in two weeks was icing on the cake.

    2. Why does Trump keep saying they are headquartered in NY? They are headquartered in Fairfax Virginia on Waples Mill Road.

  4. They had a “whopping” amount in 2018 — not only did we lose 30 house seats, but all the D congressional candidates didn’t have R opponents. How does Hank “Guam may tip over” Johnson and crooked Alcee Hasting keep winning??

Mumbly Mitch allocated himself $50M from the RSCC to outspend his opponent 3 to 1. Does Mumbly Mitch raise that kind of money?? I can’t believe it!!

  5. Good sign and I’m happy for it. I won’t give one cent to the RNC though. No way in hell. I’d give some if it went straight to the presidential campaign.

    1. Me too Ryan. I give directly to candidates. I get calls from the RNC and a Republican Senators fund raiser and I give them an earful. And that’s all they will get from me.

    2. Good call. The RNC has been working against the Constitution for decades. They are left of the David French/Jonah Goldberg wing…. which is about where LBJ was in the 1960s.

  7. Corporations buying elections … on steroids. But that’s the price of democracy.
Impressive haul though … but then, every election has broken the previous election record, so the trend will continue whether R or D

  9. Teachers unions want open borders to fill their failing classrooms. Teachers unions are big Democrat supporters and dump huge amounts of cash on open border candidates.

. Vote with your own Trump campaign contributions to let them know they have a fight on their hands in 2020.

Why to Democrats keep talking about open borders? Now you know, it is a buzz word to tell teachers unions they have their back.

  10. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha.

I just heard that Code Pink is not allowed to fill the baby Trump blimp with helium, they can only fill it with cold air. They are also supposedly having a male bathing suit contest.

      1. Joe Pein- Since it won’t be afloat, it should be pretty easy to hit it with something that will deflate it pretty easily. Maybe we should take guesses on how long it stays inflated.

          1. Joe Pein- Since DC is very very anti-gun, and the security that day will be intense, we will have to look for something else to deflate the balloon. I don’t think knives are banned in DC which is what the woman used to deflate the Trump blimp in London. A pocket knife should do.

              1. 🙂 It depends on how thick the plastic is that the blimp is made of. I suspect that Code Pinko went for the big bucks version.

  12. There’s something that strikes me as fundamentally wrong about how national elections now spend billions of dollars. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I am pretty confident that’s not what the Founders intended.

    1. Yep. It’s from corporate pay masters like the National Restaurant Association that keeps the illegals flowing in and providing cheap labor. Nobody rides for free. They all eventually call in their markers to the detriment of John Q. Public.

  13. I would love to see the break down of how many donors and the amounts. Break downs like this tell us the real story on who is in position to win.

      1. @hbnolikee C’mon man how in the world will the break down of how many and the amounts they donated will scare the donors….?

        Please explain.

    1. I’ve been saying this about Cornyn since the other Texas Senator was Kay Bailey Hutchison. Cornyn is a snake.

    2. AMEN, CHRIS! Donations should go straight to the candidates and not the RINOC. Also, for those coming to change our great state, it would be cheaper to ship them via Greyhound bus to Cali and NY…or Canada? No, wait, we’re friends with Canada.

        1. Agreed. My husband and I live between TX and FL but vote in FL; in 2016, I wrote in Ted Cruz’ name on the POTUS portion of my ballot because Ted is always the adult in the room. But you are right; there is no hell on Earth that would ever make me so desperate as to cast a vote for a democrat.

    3. I haven’t given to the RNC since the 2012 election run up when Romney threw the election and the RNC helped!

  16. Pence’s plane was just called back to DC on emergency. I’m not in front of t.v. to find out what’s up.

      1. A little while ago I heard a report that the plane was about to land but turned around and came back to DC for some sort of emergency. Just now I heard another report that the plane had never taken off, and that Pence was needed at the WH for something, so his trip to NH to talk about the opiod crisis will be rescheduled. In another radio report they said the emergency had nothing to do with any health issues, or national security. The radio news is lefty, but it was FOX that said the plane was about to land when Pence was called back.

PS- FOX must have gotten their info from Donna Brazille.

    1. Just scanned the “news” channels. Fox: Outnumbered, talking about border crisis. CNN: Trashing Trump and tanks on the Mall. MSNBC: Andrea Mitchell drinking from the toilet with AOC (using PLASTIC STRAWS too!). Rush just played an update from the Administration saying Pence’s recall had nothing to do with anyone’s health, nor was is it a “National Security” issue. Who knows.

    2. His spokeswoman says there is nothing wrong with the VP or the POTUS and they are playing it down…I suppose it could be his wife or something with a child? Work in progress and we will know something when we should, I guess.

      1. Thanks guys for the updates, I just got home and turned on the news…You know the very first thought that went through my head, the NK ‘s did a Kim Jung’s half brother spray on Trump.
        :beg: :chuckle: 😮

      1. @kram-nivel I wonder if it’s even possible to get that much in cash. I’ll write you a check. I’m good for it.

  17. Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus said he will use some of his fortune in the billions to re-elect Trump in 2020.

Trump needs to send some effective communications people over to the RNC. Their messaging is really awful.

    1. RNC is 100% on point with their message. We just happen to disagree with them. They want more RINOs, bigger spending, more wars, and open borders.

      1. 🙂 That was my first thought as well. Now the lefties will harass the poor old 90 year old.

  18. I suspect we are witnessing what is all part of “The Bradley Effect.”

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_effect
    —————————
“The Bradley effect posits that the inaccurate polls were skewed by the phenomenon of social desirability bias.[7][8] Specifically, some voters give inaccurate polling responses for fear that, by stating their true preference, they will open themselves to criticism of racial motivation. Members of the public may feel under pressure to provide an answer that is deemed to be more publicly acceptable, or ‘politically correct’. The reluctance to give accurate polling answers has sometimes extended to post-election exit polls as well. The race of the pollster conducting the interview may factor into voters’ answers.”
    ————————
While The Bradley Effect was specifically named for black candidate Tom Bradley, and refers to race above, it can be applied to any politically correct position, as demonstrated with Trump in the 2016 elections. The polls had Hillary winning on Election Morning, that’s how wrong they were.

If you risk getting spit on or milkshaked for publicly saying you support Trump, isn’t that a reasonable incentive to hide – but not change – your feelings for him?

      1. @michelle-lee Yep. It’s a general principle about political correctness and the Left.

  19. When Communism is the second choice, I’d like to think the wealthier tightwads will start coming out of the bank closet.

  20. Good sign and I’m happy for it. I won’t give one cent to the RNC though. No way in hell. I’d give some if it went straight to the presidential campaign.

      1. @dbattle – Yeah, their only message – we will take your money & socialism. Eh, no thanks idiots.

    1. The RNC also needs to quit trying to foist Bob Dole/John McCain/Mitt Romney style, wishy-washy, puke-inducing candidates on us. Hopefully, we can pray that they finally get the message from their real conservative base and that is that we do NOT want to go along to get along nor do we give a rat’s patoot about reaching across the aisle when what is being proposed by those “across the aisle” is blatantly treasonous, immoral and Anti-American. We have absolutely no interest in being Democrat-lite and we could care less whose DC cocktail parties they want to be invited to. It is way past time that the Republicans stopped partying on the taxpayers’ dime and do the will of the majority of the mostly common hardworking AMERICAN CITIZENS who elected them.

      1. I agree, but they will not, RNC is through and through Romney clones. The entire committee is rotten to the core with moderate leftists.

  22. I can imagine a large chunk of that money was raised in last few days after the Democrat debates. I don’t donate money to the RNC, but after those debates, the thought came to mind.

  23. While this is good news, I’m sick to death of all the 202 area code calls (Washington D.C.), the “Trump” calls (various names with “Trump in it – based off of caller ID) and all the other robo calls I’ve been getting from these people (RNC). 24. Just FYI, the outage was caused by cloudflare which hosts a TON of websites. And they all went down together.

But fortunately, everything is working again.

    1. Yeah, it took down Drudge… that was a pretty major outage for a company whose purpose is to prevent outages.

          1. Oh my goodness! Did you call Ripley’s? :silly: 😆 Sometimes I think I need an outage just to get off here and finish a few of my books. I’ve got three I’m trying to juggle now as well as trying to keep up with what’s going on in the world. I didn’t have this much trouble when all I had was the public library and the local bookstore!

            1. @philliesthoughts You don’t see me here in the evening because I read. (And go to sleep ridiculously early.)

  25. That is A LOT OF MONEY! I think Trump will win easily but we have to get the House back and keep the Senate.

  27. The NRA is having problems of its own, but moving out of NY is not a bad idea.

    1. Agreed. Why would they reside in a hostile environment? It may have made sense before… not anymore. Glad they are getting out.

      1. @landscaper I’m in the south right now. Earlier some good old boys helped me get turned around after my GPS took me down the wrong way. Country folks are friendly all over, though.

      2. Central plains are good too as long as they leave their liberal ways right where they were!

    2. Our son just moved from one of the more “conservative” areas of NY state and he’s never been happier and a lot less poorer.
