In his Weekly Address, President Obama claims that one of the “most effective ways there is” to boost the economy is extending unemployment benefits. He also points a finger at Republicans and wags it with a mentally audible “tsk tsk” as being unwilling to help the economy or struggling families who have kids that play with our kids, whatever that means. As Jim Hoft puts it: “And, you wonder why we’re suffering through the worst economic recovery ever?”
The President suggests that unemployment benefits put cash in the hands of consumers, and then question mark, and then HUGE PROFIT! If all it takes to get this economy going is giving people free money so they’ll buy more Toblerones and tablet PCs, then count me in. I’ll send you my PayPal info, Mr. President. Please be generous, it’s FOR AMERICA!!
