PRIEBUS: “I’ve got one foot on a banana peel and another out the door” — REPORT

Here’s more reporting that suggests the days Reince Priebus being in the White House are numbered, and they’ve been numbered by Trump himself:

NY POST – President Trump has given Chief of Staff Reince Priebus a July 4 deadline to shakeup the White House staff or he’ll toss him, a report said.

The president has considered bringing in former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and deputy campaign manager David Bossie to get things under control as the Russia investigations continue to roil the White House, Politico reported late Sunday.

He laid down the law to Preibus, the former chair of the Republican National Committee, after returning from his first overseas trip as president last month and offered him a fair chance to make the changes by Independence Day.

“I’m giving you until July 4,” Trump said, according to Politico. “I don’t want them to come into this mess. If I’m going to clean house, they will come in as fresh blood.”

The White House disputed the report.

“Whoever is saying that is either a liar or out of the loop,” press secretary Sean Spicer said.

First it was the 100-day mark of the administration, then it was Memorial Day, the report said.

“It’s become comical that every holiday becomes a referendum on Reince,” Political reported, citing an adviser to the president.

Even Preibus has taken a fatalistic view of his White House future.

“I’ve got one foot on a banana peel and another out the door,” Politico reported, according to a source.

We’ve been hearing for a while that Priebus was on his way out and it sounds like it might be true. But it hasn’t happened yet and Spicer’s denial was blatant.

I also wonder, given all the leaks in this White House (including this one), if this might be disinformation in order to identify leakers. Hard to know truth from fiction these days when it comes to some of these leaks, so I guess we’ll know for sure when (or not) Priebus is kicked out on his keister after July 4th.
