Jen Psaki was grilled today by a couple of reporters on the fact that a Biden ambassador-designate was in attendance at Hunter’s art show last week:
LA Mayor Eric Garcetti is the ambassador-designate to India that was in attendance to Hunter’s art show.
The reporter was asking about the ‘awkward position’ it would put the White House in with someone purchasing Hunter’s art that either wanted a job or a favor from the president.
But Psaki completely brushed both reporters off as if there’s no problem with any of this, once again hiding behind agreement they made with the art dealer to keep everything anonymous. But of course, there’s no accountability for this arrangement should the art dealer reveal information. And there’s nothing to stop the person who bought the art from publishing that they are the ones who bought the art. It’s an absolutely ridiculous arrangement that creates a huge conflict of interest for Biden and a potential national security concern.
I am glad a couple of reporters pressed Psaki on this but there should have been way more demanding accountability. It’s really unbelievable when you think about it, because they only reason Biden feels emboldened to use his son like this is because he’s been doing it for over a decade (Ukraine, China) and the media continues to give him a pass while trying to get Trump impeached for much, much less.
