Rand Paul to Ilhan Omar: GO BACK to Somalia so you can be grateful to the U.S.!!

Rand Paul said he was willing to help pay to send Rep. Ilhan Omar to Somalia so that she can visit and be more grateful to the United States.

Although liberals will undoubtedly call him racist for it, his comments are actually very reasonable and measured:

“Most of them are thankful, I’ve met people who have come here from behind the iron curtain that got away from Communism – they’re some of the best Americans we have because they really appreciate how great our country is,” said Paul.

“And then I hear Representative Omar say ‘oh America’s terrible. I’d love there to be justice and there’s no justice here’ and it’s like she came here and we fed her we clothed her – she got welfare, she got school, she got healthcare and then she has the honor of actually winning a seat in Congress and she says we’re a terrible country. I think that’s about as ungrateful as you can get,” continued Paul.

I mean he makes a point to say that most Somali immigrants are very grateful. Unlike Omar.

Paul took the position that, while Omar shouldn’t be forcefully sent anywhere, he’d be happy to buy her a ticket to Somalia so she could see for herself just how great she has it here in the states.

“I think she could look and learn a little bit about the disaster that is Somalia that has no capitalism, has no God-given rights guaranteed in a constitution and has about seven different tribes that have been fighting each other for the last 40 years,” continued Paul. “And then maybe after she’s visited Somalia for a while she might come back and appreciate America more.”

This is a very fair criticism and not necessarily racist. But Trump kinda ruined his by lobbing the accusation against all four of the commie squad, which definitely gave Democrats more ammunition against him. Then again it’s been a few days and it’s all a distant memory…
