The ratings have just come in for the first Democratic debate and this MSNBC producer says they are the highest ratings for a primary debate in a decade:
Inbox: NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo together drew a total of 15.3 million viewers for the first of the two-night Democratic presidential debate, beating every primary debate during the 2008 and 2012 election cycles, according to Nielsen Fast National Data.

Interesting. Kyle Griffin must be referring to Democratic debates.
Because the first Fox News debate from had 24 million. The second debate on CNN had 23 million. And there were a couple more along the way that still had more ratings…
So 15 million is pretty good, but looking at the chart above it’s only average compared to Republican debates.
Perhaps the second Democratic debate with Biden will do better.
