On GMA this morning Reince Priebus defended Steve Bannon against attacks by Harry Reid, who said that Trump’s appointment of Bannon as his top aide signaled that white supremacists will be represented at the highest levels in the Trump White House:

Priebus told GMA that this is absolutely not the Steve Bannon he knows, that he’s never heard Bannon mention anything like this in the months that he’s known him.
In all the criticism from those who worked with Bannon, I’ve never heard any of them call Bannon a white supremacist. I have heard them call Bannon “one of the worst people on God’s green earth” and a “bully” who “has shaped [Breitbart] into Trump’s personal Pravda”, but nothing down the road of racism or white supremacy.
Of course this is Harry Reid we are talking about here…
