More Unemployment Insurance for 1.6M when there are FOUR MILLION known job openings??

The Liberal Propaganda House (aka “think tank”) Economic Policy Institute  writes today:

The December Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) data released this morning by the Bureau of Labor Statistics mark six years since the official beginning of the Great Recession in December 2007 and four-and-a-half years since its official end in June 2009. Job openings declined by 43,000 in December, bringing the total number of job openings to 4.0 million. In December, the number of job seekers was 10.4 million. Thus, there are 10.4 million job seekers and only 4.0 million job openings, meaning that there are only enough job openings for 38.5 percent of job seekers.

The Propaganda House tweeted this with the Renew Unemployment Insurance #RenewUI hashtag arguing that those four million available jobs aren’t enough to go around and still leaves millions unemployed. Correct, but 4 million KNOWN available jobs is still 2.5 job openings for each of the 1.6 million that Democrats want us to #RenewUI now.

Additionally, there are millions more local jobs that didn’t make it into the survey.  Yet they cry to Renew UI again and again?

I wonder if the 4 million job openings include “jobs Americans won’t do,” to which Democrats claim we need to legalize millions of people to do those jobs while handing out more UI for those who cant find jobs…
