Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has found herself with another temporary suspension from Twitter over a tweet where she claimed that COVID vaccines aren’t working:
The FDA should not approve the covid vaccines.
There are too many reports of infection & spread of #COVID19 among vaccinated people.
These vaccines are failing & do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks.
Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms.

Twitter has suspended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) for a week after she wrote that vaccines are “failing.”
A Twitter spokesperson told The Hill in a statement that her tweet on Monday “was labeled in line with our COVID-19 misleading information policy.”
Her account will be in read-only mode for one week “due to repeated violations of Twitter Rules,” the spokesperson added.
Greene said in the tweet that the Food and Drug Administration “should not approve the covid vaccines.”
“There are too many reports of infection & spread of #COVID19 among vaccinated people,” Greene said.
“These vaccines are failing and do not reduce the spread of the virus & neither do masks,” she added. “Vaccine mandates & passports violate individual freedoms.”
The tweet was labeled by Twitter as “misleading.” Users were not permitted to reply, share or like the post.
Twitter has a five-strike policy on COVID-19 misinformation. The fourth strike is a seven-day account lock.
I don’t necessarily agree with everything she said in the tweet, but that’s her opinion. Why should she be suspended for believing that vaccines are failing? Maybe she’ll be right in the long run, or maybe she won’t. But let everyone see whether she is or not.
This absolute control over certain types of information is ludicrous and fascistic. And it has no basis in reality. If it did, everyone would be vaccinated, right? But instead, half of the country still isn’t vaccinated despite the hard push by officials at all levels to get everyone vaccinated and the Big Tech push to ban ‘misleading’ speech about COVID and the vaccines. Talk about something that’s failing.
