Republican congressman from Texas Troy Nehls slammed Governor DeSantis today for his comments about Trumps potential indictment.
Nehls claimed his comments were ‘unfair’ and suggested it was proof that he’s “is not yet ready to lead our country”.

The comments made by Governor Ron DeSantis about the possible indictment and arrest of President Donald Trump were unfair. The American people now know DeSantis is not yet ready to lead our country. America needs leadership, and Donald Trump will deliver again in 2024.

I would have hoped for better from Nehls but this is down right idiotic.
We all read the statement from DeSantis and he said nothing that was unfair to Trump. In fact he actually defended Trump, attacking the ‘Soros prosecutor’ and saying that his investigation into Trump is “fundamentally wrong”.
If we want to to talk about being ‘unfair’, let’s talk about Trump insinuating that DeSantis is a pedophile. Or how about the false accusation and ethics complaint that DeSantis is running an illegal shadow campaign? Or how about suggestion that DeSantis has done nothing for the state of Florida to make it better? How about Trump waging a war against DeSantis simply because he’s afraid to run against him? How about the phony claim that DeSantis is a disciple of Paul Ryan?
I have much less respect for Nehls after this statement. It’s fine if he wants to support Trump for president. But don’t lie and insult DeSantis just because Trump is an ego maniac who doesn’t want him in the race.
