It appears that Ronna McDaniel has enough backing to become the RNC Chair.
According to a letter sent to McDaniel yesterday, 107 members of the RNC are supporting her for reelection.
There are 168 total who will be voting in January at their winter meeting.
More than 100 RNC members — of the full 168 who will select the party's leader — signed a letter to current Chair Ronna McDaniel on Monday saying they support her reelection bid.

This is not a good sign for the challengers.
Now Lee Zeldin hasn’t officially announced his candidacy and he won’t until tomorrow morning. He’s intentionally waiting until after voting in the Georgia election is complete.
I don’t know if his potential announcement will peel any votes away from McDaniel or not. If he can’t then there’s no way he can win. She clearly has more than enough votes to win and these members were serious enough about supporting her to put it in writing.
