REPORT: There will be no interim report from John Durham before the election

At some point this year AG Barr suggested that there would be, at the very least, an interim report on John Durham’s investigation because people are owed the truth of what really happened as the FBI and other agencies began their coup against President Trump. But Maria Bartiromo is now reporting that there won’t be a report out before the election:

She reported this on Sunday morning and it comes at the very beginning of the video above. Bartiromo says that she’s hearing from sources that there’s a huge debate at the DOJ that they are now too close to the election to release any report about the investigation and that a report won’t be coming.

She does report that Durham’s investigation is expanding and it’s significant, but that’s about it. Which is really a shame because I agreed with Barr that people deserved to know the specifics of what happened in 2016 and 2017. And I’m disappointed that, assuming this report is true, that there won’t be a report before the election.

Don Jr. responded to Bartiromo’s reporting this morning and called it disgusting:

I understand Don Jr.’s frustrations because I share them. I don’t agree that Barr is just running out the clock though and I wouldn’t accuse Durham of this either. I just think the investigation is too big and Durham is trying to be very thorough in order to make sure they can prove their case in the courts. Because this is the crime of the century and it deserves a robust and thorough investigation.

All that said, I truly hope this reporting is wrong and Barr does issue some kind of report in the coming weeks that, at the very least, lays out the basics of this unprecedented attack on Trump. But I’m not going to hold my breath.
