It’s being reported that Trump ordered both Larry Kudlow and Robert Lighthizer to look at getting us back into a renegotiated TPP in order to open up more markets to farmers. And Ben Sasse loves the idea:
Emerging from WH meeting on trade and agriculture, @SenSasse said @POTUS directed Trade Rep Lighthizer and Econ Advisor Kudlow to see about renegotiating US entry into TPP. "That's really good news for America," said Sasse. pic.twitter.com/T1f7xVl1uA

More @BenSasse “The president is a guy who likes to blue-sky a lot and entertain a lot of different ideas, but he multiple times reaffirmed the point that TPP might be easier for us to join now … and that we might be the 12th party…”

"Larry - go get it done," @SenSasse quoted Pres as telling Kudlow about possibly joining TPP trans-pacific trade deal. Says pres repeatedly said it might be easier for the US to join now. Pres originally withdrew US from TPP on his 4th day in office.

‘Renegotiated’ is the key word here. I do feel better about getting into TPP knowing someone like Larry Kudlow is helping renegotiate it as opposed to Obama’s lackies. But we’ll need more details on this before we can really weigh in.
