A little while ago Trump tweeted a clearly photoshopped image of him giving the military dog that took down Al-Baghdadi a medal of honor:
AMERICAN HERO! pic.twitter.com/XCCa2sGfsZ
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 30, 2019
A reporter went nuts after this, actually asking the White House about it:
I've requested details from the @WhiteHouse on this photo.
There was no such canine event on today's @POTUS schedule but there is a Medal of Honor ceremony set here for later today for an active duty Green Beret. https://t.co/NESINT9J4b— Steve Herman (@W7VOA) October 30, 2019
"It's photoshopped," acknowledges a @WhiteHouse official. The dog is not here at the @WhiteHouse — yet.

Duh. Seriously.
And then using his detective skillz, he tracked down the real photo:
Photoshopped from the first Medal of Honor @realDonaldTrump awarded (to James McCloughan of the @USArmy for conspicuous gallantry during the Vietnam War). https://t.co/PHEUCZd6B0

Caleb Howe tweeted out his own photoshopped image:
Time for an upgrade upgrade. pic.twitter.com/k0kcmotbie
— Caleb Howl (@CalebHowe) October 30, 2019
And then Kira Davis followed up, mocking the VOA reporter:
I have a request for comment into @WhiteHouse right now. There is no confirmation on @realDonaldTrump's schedule of any joint dog chiefs meeting. Will follow up with what I find out. This is journalism, people. Speaking truth to power, demanding accountability and transparency. https://t.co/eo0O8EhNXy

I did my own photoshop of the dog the other day…maybe I should send it to Trump:

Go ahead and use this as an open thread. Here’s a great Dodo video about another dog and her puppies:
This mama dog led rescuers right to her puppies 😭❤️ pic.twitter.com/5NluWkzQs1
