An Axios reporter located in Florida named Ben Montgomery, who complained about a DeSantis press release via email, actually got the ax over the incident.
Governor DeSantis held a roundtable discussion the other day vowing to defund and fight against Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs and public universities in Florida.
His team sent out a press release via email about the roundtable discussion.
Mongtomery snarkily responded “This is propaganda, not a press release.”
This afternoon, Tampa based @axios journalist @gangrey decided to respond to our press release with the below. pic.twitter.com/XkL5nBwZSs

Well that apparently didn’t go over well with his bosses at Axios.
According to Charlotte Kelin with Vanity Fair, he got the ax over it:

The Daily Caller inquired about this from Axios and they confirmed he’s no longer with the company:
Axios editor-in-chief Sara Kehaulani Goo said in a statement to the Daily Caller that “this reporter is no longer with Axios. Out of respect for our employees, we do not discuss conditions of departure.”
I must say I’m pretty shocked that a garbage media company actually held a reporter accountable for revealing their anti-Republican bias. I thought that’d be a resume enhancment.
Maybe he got the ax because he said the quiet part outloud. I think that’s gotta be it.
