Republican Primary election night is here again in Arizona and Florida!

Tonight we have another big Republican primary election night with a couple of huge battles in both Arizona and Florida.

We’ll start with Florida since their voting ends first at 8pm Eastern.

Florida Governor:

It’s Rob DeSantis vs Adam Putnam vs others who aren’t polling well. Here’s the RCP polling average for the last month:

At best DeSantis wins in a landslide. At worst we have a recount.

I’m thinking DeSantis probably has this one in the bag, but we’ll find out which polls are right tonight!

Florida US Senate

Even though Rick Scott technically has a running mate, I think this is basically a no-contest. There isn’t even polling to be found between Scott and Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente. So unless something really strange happens, the very popular governor is the Republican nominee for the US Senate in Florida.

There are other primary elections in Florida. You can see them all listed here.

And now let’s switch over to Arizona, where there is one huge race to determine who will be the nominee to replace Jeff Flake.

Arizona Senate

In this race we have Martha McSally, Kelli Ward, and Joe Arpaio all going head to head tonight. Currently there are no running averages at RCP, but we do have a few polls to give us some history:

It looks like this is going to be a McSally vs Ward race, with McSally having the advantage if the polls are to be believed. But there is’t a lot of polling variety in the mix here, with only one poll in August, one in July, and three in June. So I think it may not be a straightforward as these polls would have us believe.

Arizona Governor

Once again it looks like we have a no-contest race. All the current polling is between Doug Ducey and his potential Democratic opponents and not between his primary opponent Ken Bennett. From that I’m guessing Ducey has it in the bag. But if something happens otherwise, we’ll be sure and let you know.

There are other Republican primary races in Arizona and you can see them all here.

Both links I’ve provided will also show the official results as they come in tonight, but we’ll be keeping up with it here tonight as well.
