Rick Perry doesn’t much care for the debate and outrage that’s going on right now regarding how presidents deal with fallen soldiers and their families.
He calls the whole debate asinine and says it’s a waste of time:
As SooperMexican suggested earlier this morning, even if Trump did say what he’s being accused of saying to the military widow in Florida, it’s not really that big of a deal as he was clearly trying to sympathize.
So I get where Perry is coming from here. It’s pretty low ball to impugn the motives of a leader who has to make these kind of phone calls and write these kind of letters.
