Ron DeSantis held a press conference today in Pensacola where he apparently got a question about Critical Race Theory going by other names. Here’s what he had to say about it:
One of the best lines from his answer was the one I highlighted in the title, which got applause from the crowd:
“It’s offensive to the taxpayer that they would be asked to fund critical race theory. That they would be asked to fund teaching kids to hate their country and hate each other.”
DeSantis goes on to say that even liberal historians say that CRT gets historical facts wrong. He adds that “if we have to play whack-a-mole all over the state, stopping this Critical Race Theory, we will do it!” That also got applause from the crowd.
