Ron DeSantis skewers Trump: “How do you flip flop on something like the sanctity of life?”

Ron DeSantis was asked tonight in a CNN town hall whether abortion should be controlled at the state or the federal level. He suggested that it was always controlled at the state level until 1973 and that he believes that’s where the country still is on an issue like this.

He then went on to skewer Trump for flip-flopping on the pro-life issue, pointing out that Trump talked about the sanctity of life at the March of Life but now thinks pro-life protections at the state level, like what we see in Florida and Iowa, are terrible.

DeSantis said that by definition Trump is not pro-life and asked “how do you flip flop on something like the sanctity of life?”
