Rosenstein drops NEW statement on NYT leak, and Mark Levin says IT’S A TRAP!!

Rod Rosenstein just released a statement about the NYT leak that they’re trying to 25th Amendment the heck out of Trump:

“I never pursued or authorized recording the President and any suggestion that I have ever advocated for the removal of the President is absolutely false. “

One of the theories about this leak is that IT’S A TRAP set by the New York Times to push Trump to fire Rosenstein. Mark Levin is cautioning the president against this possibility:

These claims have been disputed by other people who were present at the meeting, and Rosenstein denies the report. (Meanwhile, the New York Times has doubled down on its reporting.)

While some on the right were quick to call for Rosenstein’s pink slip, Levin says to not take the bait. “Why was this leaked? Why was this leaked now?” Levin asked.

The details of the story make it look like a strategic leak from someone in the Justice Department to the New York Times, he explained. It was leaked now, Levin suggested, to prompt President Trump to fire Rosenstein to “blow up the entire Kavanaugh hearings, to have Republicans running for the hills,” and to create chaos just ahead of the midterm elections.
