Sarah Palin: A Thanksgiving Message to all 57 states

Yesterday Sarah Palin hit back at the LSM for jumping on a gaffe that she made during her interview with Glenn Beck, mistakenly referring to North Korea as our ally instead of South Korea. Just 8 seconds before hand she had referred to North Korea properly as our enemy, so this was literally nothing more than a slip of the tongue, but the LSM doesn’t want you to know that. They want you to think she is stupid.

So she starts her special message out with links to many of Obama’s gaffes that got little coverage by the MSM and then proceeds to point out how they care more about pointing out her mistakes without doing even a little fact-checking and honest reporting.

As a side note, you will notice in her fourth paragraph that she links to none other than yours truly for the record of her interview with Glenn Beck. Awesome! Thanks Sarah!

My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…

Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you can’t remember hearing about them, that’s because for the most part the media didn’t consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.

Obviously, I would have been even more impressed if the media showed some consistency on this issue. Unfortunately, it seems they couldn’t resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline. The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us.

If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Beck’s radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime. The media could even have done due diligence and checked my previous statements on the subject, which have always been consistent, and in fact even ahead of the curve. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story? (And for that matter, why not just make up stories out of thin air – like the totally false hard news story which has run for three days now reporting that I lobbied the producers of “Dancing with the Stars” to cast a former Senate candidate on their show. That lie is further clear proof that the media completely makes things up without doing even rudimentary fact-checking.)

“Hope springs eternal” as the poet says. Let’s hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding America’s free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

  1. AOL’s ‘Politics Daily” is also running their SLANTED version of this story… There are 100’s of Palin-hating comments on their article but when you try to post a comment in defense of her they reject it outright (I have had 8 posts rejected today).

AOL’s ability to trash Sarah Palin on an almost DAILY basis – then REFUSING to post any comments attempting to defending her is disgraceful.

    They MUST be stopped!!

  2. Shane, do you even know what a Marxist is? Have you read his book, ever? Surely, you are not saying the half of the nation is Maxist…including all of Presidents who were Democrats? And what is this business about “a girl with a nice pair?” You should be aShame, Shane!

    1. “a girl with a nice pair?” Obviously, it’s shoes.

And no, not all the democrat presidents were marxists (or is it maxist?). There were a bunch of presidents who cared little for the constitution and wanted to take more power than was given to them by the document. This is the term normally known as Progressive. And no, it’s not the auto insurance company. As an example of a non-progressive democrat, I look at Grover Cleveland .

    1. Ah, I see it now; Stevie’s in the media! He doesn’t want to do his job, so he hates that a Girl is pointing out all his, erm, shortcomings.

Hence all the multitudinous, meaningless comments.

  3. The media only picked up on this little slip because the rest of the interview was so brilliant. If they can distract enough sheeple they think they’ve won.

    1. Doubtful. It was the only interesting thing IN the interview. Sarah says an awful lot without really saying anything at all.

  4. Governor Palin was indeed of the curve.

“Governor Palin Stresses Need for Strong Missile Defense Capability

April 6, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Responding to the missile test by North Korea, Governor Sarah Palin today reaffirmed Alaska’s commitment to protecting America from rogue nation missile attacks.

“I am deeply concerned with North Korea’s development and testing program which has clear potential of impacting Alaska, a sovereign state of the United States, with a potentially nuclear armed warhead,” Governor Palin said. “I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that we continue to develop and perfect the global missile defense network. Alaska’s strategic location and the system in place here have proven invaluable in defending the nation.”

      1. So who’s your Big Tough Boy, Steve? Your Thick-Skinned, Serious, Mature Boy for 2012?

        Out with his name:

So I guess your boy is gonna’ be happy with the status quo, with the media not even trying to report fairly?

He’ll just have to live with it?

Palin’s much MUCH tougher than you or your boy, that’s for sure.

She gets that the media must be made to do their jobs … or be destroyed.

  5. I think all of us who are on Facebook should hit the “share” button and get Palin’s post out to as many people as possible. It can’t hurt.

    1. People know. This isn’t the first time and won’t be the last time the media jumps on a slip of the tongue. That said, Palin is MUCH too sensitive tp this kind of criticism. She doesn’t have the stones to be president and won’t get past the GOP primary.

      1. Well, you may have to ask the “stones” expert, James Carville. According to him, Obama is down 1.

      2. I think it is very hypocritical of liberals and their lapdog media to jump all over Sarah Palin and her entire family over the last 2+ years. Sick liberals made up lies about Trig and trashed the entire family like the disgusting lying pigs they truly are. Obama and Biden spit out gaffes every week but the media never claimed they were unfit for office did they? Of course not. Liberals are terrified of Sarah Palin that is why they attack her any way they can, mostly with lies of course. Our Government is corrupt but the media is just as evil as the Progressive Marxist Obama and his Obots are. Only watch Fox News and listen to Conservative Talk radio for the truth. Liberals lie and cheat any way they can to advance their socialist agenda.

See how that works? How about trying to put something up that isn’t so stupid that it’s contagious? Little exchanges like that shouted back and forth or in capslock are exactly what is wrong with the American political discourse.

      1. Wow, I didn’t know “capslock” is “exactly what is wrong with the American political discourse”. Thanks for putting me some knowledge. LOL.

        1. I meant the fact that people do nothing but “shout” at each other without listening. All there is in American politics is “YOU’RE SUCH AND SUCH AND SUCH YOU COMMIE-MARXIST-SOCIACISM-ANTI-AMERICAN”

      2. Well maybe you could tell us where the other 7 states are hiding? That would clear this up? Oh and MARXIST=DEMOCRATS=TERRORIST All the same. LOL!!!! In your face. I do it just to get to you Erfe. It worked.
