Sarah Palin talks energy, jabs MSM with David Asman

Sarah Palin discusses how Obama is diminishing our energy supply which is causing our fuel prices to go up. She’s said before that she doesn’t believe any of this will change until 2012 and I completely agree.

She also takes a nice jab at the MSM at the end:

The media that is in Obama’s back pocket will always be looking from today until that election November 2012. They’ll always be looking for more reasons to articulate their support for he who gives them the tingles up and down their legs. And this is one way that their gonna be able to capitalize on this situation.

Enjoy!

  1. Here is a Very Good comment from JLAdevelop about Sarah Palin….Enjoy it:

    JLAdevelop

Sarah is a person of principle and integrity. She is a strong straight forward common sense
conservative. She is an expert on domestic energy production. She was the first to identify death
panels in Obamacare, rising inflation in food and other goods from the Feds monetary policy and is
eager to restore American Exceptionalism. I sure hope she runs for President.

  2. The Biography Channel ( BIO )’s Statement:

New York, NY – May 9, 2011 – BIO has ordered ten half-hour episodes of an untitled Bristol Palin/Massey brothers docu-series from Associated Television International, it was announced today by David McKillop, Executive Vice President, Programming, A&E Network and BIO Channel. The series follows Bristol Palin’s move from Alaska to Los Angeles with her son, Tripp, to work at a small charity in need while living with her good friends Chris and Kyle Massey. The series is slated to air in late 2011. She’s the most famous single mother in America. And she became a national media darling during her odds-defying, ratings record-breaking run on “Dancing with the Stars.” Now as Bristol Palin gears up for her work in this charity, she is allowing cameras exclusive access into her personal life for the first time. While on “Dancing,” Bristol became extremely close with fellow contestant, actor Kyle Massey. Since the show, Bristol, Kyle, and Kyle’s brother, actor Christopher Massey, have become best friends; so much so, that since Bristol and Tripp have to move to Los Angeles for her new job, she decides to move in with the Massey brothers who are also about to realize how much their lives are about to change. “Bristol is the kind of personality BIO is drawn to,” said McKillop. “Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she’s opening up her real life, with her son and her friends the Massey Brothers.”The untitled project is produced by Associated Television International for BIO. David McKenzie and Jim Romanovich serve as executive producers for Associated Television International. David McKillop, Tom Moody and Andy Berg serve as the executive producers for BIO.

  3. Very, Very Happy Mother’s Day, Dear Sarah Palin and All Mothers of America….God Bless You Always….

  4. I’ve posted this before,…

The Leftwing nut LIBRATARDS know in their bones that Sarah Palin,…
IS Ronald Reagan ALL OVER AGAIN. IT TERRIFIES them to no end.

ESPECIALLY the ones who are OLD enough to remember Reagan.

So they are trying with EVERY thing they have to,…

destroy her in a pre-emptive strike.

Sarah Palin REALLY IS the real deal.

Not some pre-packaged made up configuration like their hero Barry.

The Left senses this and has reacted like expected.

IF she runs against barry in 2012,…

She WILL CRUSH him with indisputable numbers.

    PALIN / BOLTON 2012or

    Barack Obama 2012?

then “YOU may want to think about aTRADE-IN.”

PALIN / (Fill in the Blank) 2012!!!!!!!!

  5. Palin/West 2012 is certain to kick OB’s butt right out of the Oval Office.
She will convince him that it is for the good of our country because it is.
We need to take Our White House back from the slime dog that hates us and hates America.

  6. Great interview. Palin is the first national politican to tie the job growth to companies getting Obamacare waviers. Let’s see if any other politicians pick up on this.

  7. Here is some of what she had to say about energy:Palin: There is an inherent link, David, between energy and security, energy and prosperity, and energy and freedom. And this is something that our President obviously doesn’t understand because he is doing all that he can to manipulate the US supply of energy. He is diminishing and decreasing the amount of energy in our market domestically and that of course is resulting in prices that are rising and gas having doubled since he has been in office. He is absolutely on the wrong track. Here is a transcript of other comments that she made on substantive matters:Palin: I think the number today that was revealed with our unemployment rate back up to nine percent is indicative of continuing problems in our economy and an agenda that is coming out of the White House that just isn’t working. Rising gas prices, devalued dollar that is a result of Fed’s intervention and centralized government trying to plan our economy for us, huge uncertainty of course with threats of tax increases even on the middle class and our job creators – all those things adding to more uncertainty in the marketplace. And people are afraid to hire and expand. And the private sector is not going to grow and prosper until a pro-private sector, pro-free market agenda is finally understood by our President. The number of jobs, it looked like there was some increase there but remember we celebrated this past month with McDonalds hiring 50,000 new employees. And, you know, more power to McDonalds for being able to hire and perhaps they were able to hire because they received that exemption from Obamacare. It’s too bad that every business in our country isn’t assured of an exemption from Obamacare so they too can get out there and hire and create more jobs. But yeah, jobs, certainly that’s going to be the negative mark on Obama’s agenda right now but rising gas prices. There is an inherent link, David, between energy and security, energy and prosperity, and energy and freedom. And this is something that our President obviously doesn’t understand because he is doing all that he can to do manipulate the US supply of energy. He is diminishing and decreasing the amount of energy in our market domestically and that of course is resulting in prices that are rising and gas having doubled since he has been in office. He is absolutely on the wrong track. So you have the rising cost of energy and you have the job situation which is proving that his agenda towards some social engineering, some manipulation of the marketplace is not working. But what President Obama seems to want to blame would be the idea that speculators aren’t influenced by policy. They are influenced by policy. Speculators are looking at what Obama is doing in decreasing the supply of energy in America and becoming more and more reliant on foreign sources of energy. You know, we’re still at 60% reliant upon imports, importing from countries, some who seek our permanent demise. So this is a national security issue too by the way. But no, what the President is wanting to suggest is that it is the speculators, it is gas station owners perhaps who have colluded and decided to increase prices on gasoline. Again, he needs to take the investigation findings from other states, plug in some solutions that we all found, and basically the solution is add more supply to the market domestically and we’ll see the supply will allow the prices to go lower.Centralized planning from a far away government, these elitists who decide that they know better than we do how to spend our money, and how to prioritize our investments and our rewards of production better than we do, it’s insulting to the American public really and it doesn’t work. Socialized countries try that and look at what’s happening in Spain and in Greece. Look at what happened years ago in Germany and in these other countries. Why don’t we look back at history and present-day failures of other countries and not repeat what is that they’re doing.

  8. She always seems to ‘go for the throat’ of Obama and the Left, and yet she tends to do it smiling. Amazing.

  9. First I listen to West’s Pakistani foreign policy digest, then this from Palin. If I hadn’t been down the rabbit hole so long, I’d be thinking I found the right side of the battle line tonight.

  10. She is so right about energy being the key to our economy…and our security.
Energy will always be the core commodity of our economy.
We would not be embroiled in the Mideast, if we were not so dependent on the oil that comes from there.

Cheap foreign oil lured us into that dependency.
    Well, it’s not cheap anymore.
So there is no excuse to continue to put hobbles on our own domestic production.

This was a great interview…and another great bit of exposure.
David Asmin runs a really good show, been a fan for some time.
Like Sarah, he has a son in the military.

Maybe it’s just me, but Sarah seems to get more beautiful every day.
And when she is allowed to speak about the things that she is passionate about…her inner glow just seems to beam outward.

If she decides not to run [and I hope she does]…I hope that either FBN or FNC will give her her own show.

Loved it that she got in that dig about McDonalds being one of those companies that’ve gotten an Obamacare Waiver.
    Hah!
    Starbucks got one too.
The ratings would be through the roof!

    1. Hmm…I don’t know why my comment got a little scrambled up.
But that last line should’ve been up there below the sentence about giving her her own show.

    2. I just copied and pasted your second paragraph into my ‘notes’ folder.Good stuff!

After posting the above, I hit [Edit] and added this. See how that works?

    2. Sarah Palin knows, as Allen West knows that we are Islam’s eternal mortal enemy because we simply exist.

I am glad they have the courage and convition to call out the enemy – by name. If we do not put a face on our most mortal enemy we have lost the battle without even a struggle.

      1. Dittos…

Attaching a name is so important.

That’s why I always close my posts, here and elsewhere with the name of Yahweh, according to Ex. 3:15 and Ezekiel 36:

    1. How so, Michael? I’m very interested in knowing how Palin’s ‘energy expertise’ would magically turn the economy around. Could you give some specifics?

      1. I will answer that, she will drill baby drill from day one. ANWR will be opened up, the Chuchki Sea will open up, the NPR will be opened up, the outer continental shelf will be open up, shale oil in the Rockies will be exploited, a natural gas pipeline will be built from Alaska to the lower 48, incentives to use natural gas in light trucks and SUVs will be plugged in, oil companies will really be held to account to produce oil, nuclear power plants will be built in the U.S. to power our electric/hybrid small vehicles, she will invest in future energy development/technologies and our space program, she will cut taxes across the board, especially pro-growth tax cutss on corporate and investment taxes, she will limit the size and scope of government, day one she will repeal Obamacare, she will actually cut government spending and reduce the national debt. She will save for the future and boost strategic military spending. These are all Reaganesque policies with her expertise on energy and will actual cuts in government and the national debt. This economy will explode in that enviroment, compared to the anemic growth we have today.

        1. Thanks, Steven.

In 1981, when Reagan took office, the federal debt was about $700 billion. In 1988, it was over $2 trillion. I hope Palin has more success with her Reaganesque policies than the man, himself, did. Sadly, however, with her numbers tanking and her playful reluctance to declare her candidacy, it looks as if she may not even get the chance to try. Anyway, most of her energy for 2011 will be spent on trying to put all those skeletons about to be released back into her closet. I fear, Steven, that you’ve put your money on the wrong pony in this particular race.

          1. Reagan was able to lower taxes but he did not have the cooperation to cut spending. That was unfortunate.

          2. Well time will tell, but I don’t think Palin has skeletons in the closet that are not manufactured by those that despise her and her policies. I support her because she is true to her values and is genuine about serving the people of this country in a position of power and not her own self interest. The media and her enemies have thrown up a massive smokescreen to conceal her very substantive policy positions. Only a campaign by Palin will help her reintroduce herself and reveal her policy positions which have been spot on if you’ve read her facebook posts and editorials in the major newspapers.

In any case, Reagan’s leadership is hailed by both sides of the aisle as being indisputable in moving the nation forward. He whipped inflation, lowered taxes, reduced discretionary spending, boosted strategic military spending (many of the major platforms we have today are from the Reagan era buildup), precipitated the collapse of the Soviet Union, ending the Cold War. That of course led to the peace dividend and temporary budget surpluses we enjoyed in the 90s.

So Reagan’s record is impressive, but just imagine it with real reductions in government and energy independence. That’s Sarah Palin.

            1. It is evidient that Palin has a very loyal supporter in you, Steven. For your sake, I hope she doesn’t disappoint.

You know, even if she does run, I doubt very much if her political opponents will pass up every opportunity to harp on her record as Governor and why she walked away from the job she was elected to do. Can she even win the Republican nomination, or will she run as an Independent and if she does strike out on her own, does she have enough support from good folk like you, Steven, to garner the required number of votes to get her and her family into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

              1. She does have my support, but I am one who doesn’t put my trust in any man but in God. I will not be shocked or devastated if she doesn’t win, because at the end of the day its God’s will that will prevail and she’s a person with faults like everyone else.

With that said, my support of Palin is due to what I said above and my frustration with the staid and feckless individuals on the GOP side who talk a conservative game but don’t walk it when they get into office. On the GOP side, we essentially have two camps, the Establishment supported by the elites, ruefully known as “country club Republicans,” “Rockefeller Republicans,” “the Eastern Establishment,” etc. throughout history. They’ve had their way in selecting moderate republicans despite the fact the GOP electorate is 70% to 80% conservative.

The Tea Party Movement (TPM) was motivated for the most part to take control of the process that always seem to produce nominees like Rockefeller, Nixon, Ford, Bush, Dole, McCain, and now maybe Romney, Huntsman or Daniels, i.e. non-conservative nominees who don’t reflect the beliefs of the broader GOP electorate. So McCain being the “moderate” GOP candidate goes out and selects Sarah Palin, a true blue conservative to shore a base he never had, even though he managed to win the GOP nomination. By the way Reagan and Goldwater were the only conservatives to break through to win the GOP nomination since the 1920s.

But to your point about a potential Palin campaign; I know that Palin is very gifted at politics and I am confident that she will be able to handle the barbs thrown at her by her opponents. I also think that too much is put into those barbs in ultimately deciding who wins and at the end of the day its the issues of the day and the candidate who best addresses those issues with credibility that will prevail. I think with the strength the Tea Party has already demonstrated, Sarah Palin is well positioned depending on what issues are prevailing. If the GOP electorate is still frustrated with the GOP leadership I described before and the debt and energy prices, there is no other candidate more credible than Sarah Palin (again speaking of the GOP electorate) to harness and consolidate that TPM grassroot support to victory. Then if she wins the nomination, she has a 50-50 chance to win the general. That’s all I can ask for being a supporter of a conservative candidate, in this case Sarah Palin.

    2. I like telling people I heard her speak about something and was shocked at how incredibly intelligent she sounded, given all what I heard the last two years.

  13. Loved the way Gov Palin nonchalantly dismissed the media in the phrase “that’s how the Leftist Media operates” ……

LOL …. just stating a fact, recognising their agenda …… she knows the enemy and how they operate. The deck is stacked against the GOP nominee, whoever that may be.

It’ll be up to The People with their multiple small megaphones to steamroll over the Media and their giant megaphone ….. the Old Media is not now The Watchdog for The Republic any longer, for the most part, they are tools of The Leftists. It is up to The People with their own social media tools of cell phone, email, Twitter and FB to be The Watchdog for The Republic now.

Recruit, recruit, recruit your friends and family America, wake them up – 2012 is a crucial election year – it needs to be 2010 on steroids, if Constitutional America is to be restored.

    Go AMERICA GO!

    Bring it on!

America is gonna FIGHT HARD to keep her Identity, to stop the slide into socialism.

    1. I feel very strongly that the leftist media is on it’s way out. It cannot last when people have a trust deficit. The new media is on the rise.

  14. Thanks for posting so quick RS!

    Palin was excellent.

I always enjoy her interviews on FBN over the FNC. Must be the hosts. 😉

  15. I hope that the Mc Donald’s Obamacare waiver story is the start of a trend. There are a whole lot of Obamacare waivers out there, and the public needs to be made more aware of them.

    1. Agreed.
And it is almost impossible to get the full list…or how many are on the list.

It would also be interesting to see how many of those companies and unions made campaign contributions to Obama and the Dems.

    1. I think she’s going to.

And if she does, she’s going to mop the floor with Obama.

And the MSM/Democrat Party know it.

  16. Sarah Palin was GREAT as Always on Fox Business Tonight … We think Sarah Palin, Our LEADER, knows better than Obama How to Fix the Economic Situation of America ….

    1. I loved that too!
Last number I heard on those Waivers, was that there were 1160 of them issued to companies and unions…and that was about 6 weeks ago.
I wonder how many of those ‘new jobs’ that were in today’s numbers are from other companies that have received Obamacare Waivers too.
Why is no one else bringing this up?
The Republicans should be screaming about this!
      Are they saving it?
Because these Waivers are not only an outrage, but also an illustration of how flawed and Unconstitutional this Obamacare law is.

      1. WOW! You know reality has been suspended when 1200 political waiver/favors to Obamacare go unreported.

I wish someone with the money would run full page ads in the NYT and WSJ simply listing the companies granted the King’s pardon.

        1. Waiver recipients:
Olive Garden, Dish Network, Regis Salons, Manor Care nursing homes, Red Lobster, Jack in the Box, Aetna Insurance Co., Universal Forest Products…and the United Federation of Teachers.

These are just a few that have been ferreted out so far.

          It…is…an…outrage.
