Sarah Palin: “We’re going to shake things up in 2014…we’ve only just begun to fight…”

Sarah Palin posted these words of encouragement just after midnight last night:

Todd and I were proud to stand with Mark Levin and other bold, patriotic warriors in support of Steve Lonegan in the New Jersey Senate race! Mayor Lonegan fought the good fight, and he and his supporters have not “finished the race,” they’ve just begun! The press has now called the race for Barack Obama’s celebrity stand-in, Cory Booker, but rest assured that Steve fought gallantly for every vote that would have led to American solvency and exceptionalism. Steve is a lucky guy to have a strong New Jersey wife and two great daughters who supported him through this campaign. We so enjoyed getting to know them, as their passion and love for this country inspired us. Looking at Steve’s life story should remind all of us to never be afraid to climb a mountain, no matter how high. Steve energized commonsense conservatives all across the country. And though it’s sad, it’s not surprising to see the far left lapdog media finally cover this race tonight (once their chosen one was deemed the victor, but not previously when voters deserved to hear of Lonegan’s successful small-government record and intentions to defend our republic).

Tonight’s press coverage of the status quo antics in Washington, D.C. energize us further. Tonight’s New Jersey race was a win for Barack Obama, and the Senate deal in D.C. was a loss for the American people replete with more back-room deals, billion dollar corrupt earmark kickbacks, and weak leadership unwilling to stand up for the people who sent them to Washington. What happened in D.C. tonight reminds us of how hard we must fight in 2014 to return to a government of the people, by the people, for the people. These politicians work for us, and yet a new poll accurately reflects that just 13% of us feel as though this country that we love is on the right track. The way forward is to elect leaders who will listen to us; and if they don’t, we must hold them accountable on election day – no matter what party. Let’s commit to continue to be in the trenches fighting for those who stand on principle over politics, despite the odds.

Friends, do not be discouraged by the shenanigans of D.C.’s permanent political class today. Be energized. We’re going to shake things up in 2014. Rest well tonight, for soon we must focus on important House and Senate races. Let’s start with Kentucky – which happens to be awfully close to South Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi – from sea to shining sea we will not give up. We’ve only just begun to fight.

– Sarah Palin

Mark Levin adds to this:

RINOs betrayed the country and smeared us. The debt skyrockets. Obamacare’s destruction spreads. There must be a political price for this. Sarah Palin is jumping in with both feet. Won’t you too?

Its time for the Conservatives, the Constitutionalists, to sever their ties with the Retardicans once and forever. Let the Whigs go…. It will take some time to rebuild a real alternative to the Amerikan Soviet Party, but do so we must. Or as Al ‘Dull’ton would say, “do so we much”.
The Retardicans are dead to me. I will never pull a lever or punch a chad for a straight Retardican ticket. Ever.

The Lame Stream Media, for a year or more now, has been saying that the Tea Party Movement is gone, dead, kaput. . . .

But lately, the TPM is front and center, mentioned constantly, and turning our corrupt government on it’s head. It is thee force against O-statism, while the GOPe appear to be more O-partners.

Chuck S. today said that he hoped Tea Party (aka We the People) learned some lessons. What are the lessons?

Every time Tea Party makes a move, it is a bigger wave towards restoring Liberty and Character of the USA. And every time media rushes to pronounce it dead/peaked, etc. Only to have Tea Party make an even bigger move shortly after.

They lie about it, they demonize it, but it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Time is coming soon when O-rackades in Congress and WH will no longer be able to contain. The avalanche is coming, there is no stopping it now.

Regarding the “polls” showing the supposed dramatic decrease in Tea Party popularity: Let’s suppose you lived in a country where the NSA tracks and records your every word, and has a list of all your contacts/friends etc. Let’s also suppose you are well aware that the IRS’ (most feared gov agency in the land) has been systematically targeting Tea Party Groups for several years and sending their info and donor lists to The White House and to radical leftist groups for further harassment. Then…let’s also suppose you get a polling call and someone on the other end asks you if you are a Tea Party member or supporter? What do you say? Do you say yes please, target me too? I have never answered a poll in my entire life. I hang up on them each and every time. Am I the only single person in America that does this?… Read more »

While I appreciate Palin’s and Levin’s enthusiasm, I can’t get past the voter suppression problem. We are getting people out to vote, but polls in conservative districts are being shut down and/or disrupted! This isn’t a glitch or a coincidence, folks! Our voices are being suppressed by not only the democrats, but also by the GOP. We must address this problem and I have no idea how we even begin to! I don’t mean to bring everyone down here…but that is the reality…we conservatives need to address that reality before we loose anymore ground and get further oppressed!

We don’t need to worry so much about the Democrats running against us until next Fall. Right now, 100% of our efforts need to be turned against the turncoat French Republicans that defeated us over the past several weeks.

That’s a well written and excellent comment. And I understand your points of the unintentional consequences of progressive plantation politics that trapped the poor in a life destined with severe hardship.

But, I think it also affect Americans in general. I have 2 daughters who still live with us after failing to make it on their own. NYS has high taxes and a very expensive cost-of-living. My wife and I were married at their ages.

Things have change and I fear will get worse – forgive my maudlin outlook, but after yesterday, I guess I’m not that cheerful.

Everyone is feeling a little down after the republican leadership in both houses let America down, just par with these.

But as far as your daughters you said they failed to make it on their on, well I’m not sure that is the best way to describe their dilemma, probably more like there wasn’t the opportunity for them, you and I both see whats happening to job market as a whole, down sizing, closings. I may have phrased it poorly, but I assure you I’m very proud of their achievements. The cost-of-living in NYS combined with this economy has made daily life for the middle-class dreadful.

My oldest is a LPN , works in a hospital and is going to school full time to get her BS degree and RN licence. But, she earned less than $30,000 last year and that’s not nearly enough money to pay rent, utilities, car payment and food.

Thanks for the advice and I promise to try to cheer-up some – thanks much.

The cost of liberal living in NY is out of this world. But people are hurting all over the country. We have nurses in our family and they have told me many times about cutbacks, layoffs, that in two different hospitals who ordered the schedulers to cut back hours. Sadly some of these people drive 100 miles to work, so when their off the clock they have to be on call and report for duty within 30 minutes or get they will get written up and after 3 times get fired. The nurses are sleeping in empty bed because they live so far away. They are only paid $1.00 per hour for being on call even though their in the hospital. One of my family members told her boss she would not cut back hour for some of these people because they are needed for patient care and the nurses… Read more »

I appreciate you taking the time to write a wonderful comment. You’re correct about healthcare and what’s occurring throughout America because of Obamacare.

Last year, my wife who worked in a doctors office – one of the best dermatology surgeons in the nation and who operated to remove Bill Clinton’s red facial spots – lost her job due to downsizing.

My sister who has MS and is wheel-chair bound lost coverage of her very expensive bi-monthly injections that manage her condition. She finally got coverage for these medications because of a wonderful small business owner where her husband works. He’s paying for an upgraded healthcare plan just for him and thus, my sister.

BTW, thanks much for trying to cheer me up. Yesterday I was sicken by the GOP, but today I’m ready for the next battle.

Amazing last year also I heard the same thing about dermatologist in our area. During that time there must have been a industry wide/nation wide cut back or closings.
I’m very glad and joyed to hear your sister is well taken care of. I could share a related story but, I don’t think I could make through telling without having to shutdown for the day. To morrow will be one year. It will be a tuff day.
But sincerely I am so glad for you, your sister and her husband. That really makes my day.

The restoration may not even be possible with the current situation as far down the road of progressivism as it is, but the Gov being the fighter that she is remains engaged and willing to assume the mantle of leadership to continue the fight. The results in New jersey were disappointing but unsurprising. One hopes Steve Lonegan will run again next time with a raised profile and better support and funding.
