In the wake of Governor Northam’s horrible comments on abortion last week condoning infanticide, Ben Sasse proposed a bill that would protect a child after it’s born and dared Democrats to vote against it.
As he said he would, Sasse asked for unanimous consent today to pass his bill…
Now Sasse is quoting from Northam’s interview: “He was literally talking about allowing the space and time for discussing infanticide. No euphemism there.”

"You're either for babies or you're defending infanticide"
"Don't let Gov. Northam define you"
One Democrat objected to Sasse’s bill, not allowing it to pass:
"You're either for babies or you're defending infanticide,” Sasse says on the floor, asking for unanimous consent to pass his anti-abortion bill following Va. Gov. Ralph Northam comments

says Sasse is misrepresenting bill and blocks his request. https://t.co/GgMBhG5kEA
Patty Murray is from Washington State, which means she’s probably safe enough to do something so dastardly.
Senator James Lankford decried the block of Sasse’s bill:
.@SenatorLankford notes that the Senate gives unanimous consent to congratulate sports teams, but not for Sasse’s bill: “The New England Patriots is noncontroversial but the death of children at their delivery is controversial enough that my Democratic colleagues are blocking it”
