Saudi judge DENIES custody of U.S. woman for her 4-year-old daughter because she’s too ‘WESTERN’

A Saudi judge has ruled against a U.S. woman who was seeking custody of her girl because she was exposing the girl to “western values.”

Er, what are those values exactly? That women should have their own free will and not be completely subject to the will of a man at all times?

Here’s more about what happened:

Though she succeeded with the divorce, her custody battle appeared to reach a dead end on Sunday, when a Saudi judge awarded custody of Zeina to her father’s mother, who lives with him, despite video evidence Ms Vierra submitted to the court that she said showed her ex-husband doing drugs and verbally abusing her in front of their daughter.

“It’s like 10,000 times worse here because so much is at risk for women when they go to court,” Ms Vierra said, near tears, in an interview on Sunday. “I genuinely thought that there would still be justice served here, and I kind of put everything on that.”

Saudi courts prioritise ensuring that children are raised in accordance with Islam. According to court documents, the judge accepted Ms Vierra’s ex-husband’s arguments that she was unfit to raise Zeina because she was a Westerner, and furthermore, because she ran her own business, a yoga studio, leaving her with little time to devote to her child.

“Since the mother is new to Islam and a foreigner in this country and embraces customs and traditions in the way she was raised,” the judge wrote in his ruling, “we must avoid exposing Zeina to these traditions.”

To be sure, our culture isn’t perfect, but to be so hostile to our values that a judge would cut custody of a woman from her child is pretty extreme.

  1. The only way she’ll see her daughter is to kidnap her and flee the country. Unfortunately, stupid American women believe that everything will be OK if they move to these Islamic countries. Nothing could be further from the truth. I feel so sorry for the child. She’s in for a horrible life if she stays there.

    1. Nice job Rae,you set the emotions aside and hit a bulls eye.A biggest ally ever in the middle east and their Muslim law courts have ruled in favor of the father, considering Muslim law and that is not Changeable.

    2. Stupid American women shouldn’t even hook up to an Middle Easterner PERIOD. There have been too many cases where the woman is convince to either travel to the Middle East on a visit or the child is taken to supposedly visit relatives and then never brought back.

    3. The child will have a wonderful life – she will learn how to be a terrorist animal and kill those nasty infidels (aka, human beings). Apparently, this is exactly what her mother wanted for her – why else would she knowingly, willingly produce a child for the ‘death cult of islam’?

    1. Trump could really help this situation in my opinion..

Americans will not and should not stay silent over this…

  2. If I was president, I’d deny Saudi Arabia military assistance, money and further petroleum business, on the basis of them being Middle Eastern bigots.

I’d also task a Delta team to go in and get that kid.

    1. Would you really do all of that with the Saudis being our strongest allies in the middle east and now you want to attack their Court System. Ain’t gonna happen.

  3. I want to see the liberal outcry of children being separated from their parents on this topic too. So far, nothing but silence!

  4. It’s not extreme. It’s theocratic.

Of course, theocracy is extreme in and of itself, so point there – but this is why you don’t mix religion with politics.

  5. “Our eternal friends, the Saudis” – GWB

I like the part of her owning a “yoga studio”. Only a leftist would be naïve enough to marry a Muslim and think everything will be kosher.

    1. It was GWB who finally opened my eyes to what the Republican party truly is.
For that I am eternally grateful.

  6. If President Trump gets this little girl back to her mother, I’d really be motivated to vote again for him in 2020.

Americans will not stand for little girls being taken away from their mothers….

    1. This has always been thus, Central. I first read of it when I was a teen and I’m eligible for medicare now! Phyllis Chesler has been writing about her own first hand experience for decades.

  7. She succeeded in the divorce, because her Muslim husband did not contest it he only wanted the child and guess what she married a Muslim man and appeared before a Saudi judge,She should have known at the time she was impregnated she would lose that child if the marriage was not successful. Maybe she should even have taken a 101 class in marriage to a Muslim man.She will not get that child back because Saudi Arabia is one of our biggest allies and we will not chance our relationship regarding custody battles.I doubt if she has visiting rights she would be allowed to remove the child from Saudi Arabia.

  8. As a father of a little girl, reading this makes me proud to be an American.

No way in hell, would I allow anyone/government, to take my little girl from me or her mother.

    1. Under your circumstances no one would CV,however she married a Muslim and apparently Muslim law has prevailed here.Simple as that CV.

  9. This isn’t surprising as a lot of divorce and child custody cases between Westerners and Islamic countries end in the same way. The father if Muslim always gets custody. It’s sad though. As for the judges last part about avoiding exposing the girls to western culture remind me of American judges who say that kids in American schools shouldn’t be exposed to the 10 Commandments.

    1. The problem with that last analogy is that the converse also works (i.e., Islamic judges/lawmakers who say that children must be exposed to Islam remind me of those American judges/lawmakers who say children must be exposed to the 10 commandments.)

      1. I do agree with that too. Jesus never forced Himself, He gave Himself. We can’t and shouldn’t force Him on others either. But considering we have In God we trust on our money, it makes sense to include Him in the rest of our society.

I wonder if people would have a problem with the last 5 if we posted those. Seems like folks could use a reminder…

        1. I wouldn’t but why not just whole hog;

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)

1 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

2 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.

3 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

4 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

          6 “You shall not murder.

7 “You shall not commit adultery.

          8 “You shall not steal.

9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

    1. My thought exactly! I can’t believe women today are ignorant of Sharia even after all these years!
It isn’t like movies haven’t been made about this. And books written! Ad infinitum.

  10. Sadly if she did kidnap her and raise her here there would be the risk of a future honor killing if she became too Americanized/Westernized. Yet Islam is a peaceful religion.

    1. I watch true crime TV and a fair number of episodes are just that! The fam moves here from the ME, daughter is exposed to western life, falls for a westernized Muslim guy, and BOOM, all hell breaks loose. And usually more than one party winds up murdered. The hate runs deep.

    1. I was listening to the radio earlier, & a gal was talking about how muslim countries don’t base their laws on right & wrong. But, on whether, or not, an action will bring shame to the family, or is in conflict to their customs.

      1. There’s the Jew hater. Where were you when your god, 0v0mit was LITERALLY bowing and scraping before the Saudi royals? Crickets.

  11. It’s the Middle East. She probably had to have her brother drive her to court. This ruling seems par for the course.

  12. Wow! I saw this over at Jihad Watch a couple days ago, CNN is the last place that I expected to see it.

  13. She married a Muslim. Sorry lady but it’s too late. So get yourself a Burka and take your daughter to the hospital She’s going to need to be fixed. It not all bad sounds like someday soon you’ll be able to drive .

  14. There was a Sally Field movie in the late 80s or early 90s called “Not Without My Daughter” that was largely based on similar stories.

It was somewhat common for western women that had converted to islam be tricked into marrying a muslim that seemed alright here, but then become a monster once they moved back to the middle east with them.

  15. Who wrote the title to the article? I had to read it a second time, real slow, to realize why I needed to read it twice. “Saudi judge denies custody of U.S. woman” – now that set me back a few seconds. Better title would have been Saudi judge denies custody of 4-year-old daughter to U.S. woman…….. I only bring this up because I see so many bad titles and misspellings throughout the internet that sometimes I think 4-year-olds are doing the typing. Just saying……. And I just noticed at the end of the article, it says “……cut custody of a woman from her child…..” So maybe I am missing something here?

    1. How many administrations have been “friends” with Saudi Arabia? How many and for how long? But it’s all Trump. Do you just lurk and wait for something to blame Trump for? I don’t like the man and never have but it must really suck to be so filled with hate.
