I couldn’t disagree more. Trump has cast this type of persona on the campaign trail, but he’s also clearly told people he’s a dealmaker and he wants to make ‘great deals’ in Washington.
Trump won’t blow up Washington. He IS Washington. After all, he’s the guy who helps them fund all the stuff we hate (Gang of 8, etc).
No, Trump will go there and capitulate just like many other Republicans in order to get good headlines. After all, he’s obsessed with the press already. Just imagine how bad it’s going to be once he gets there, if he does.
The ‘Grand Bargain’ will become the ‘Great Bargain’ and most Americans, like Scott Baio, will then realize that this pie in the sky belief they have about him was just as wrong as the same belief Democrats had about Obama in 2008.
The guy that would actually ‘blow up’ Washington lost over a week ago.
