Senate Leader Thune releases great statement on Pete Hegseth and here’s the timing of his confirmation vote

Senator Majority Leader John Thune released a great statement on Pete Hegesth before the vote to confirm him as Secretary of Defense tonight.

Via Chad Pergram, Thune said Mr. Hegseth will bring a Warriors perspective to the role of defense secretary and will provide much needed fresh air at the Pentagon. Gone will be the days of woke distractions. The Pentagon’s focus will be on war fighting. Mr. Hegseth says will concentrate on restoring American strength and repairing the deficiencies in our readiness.”

This is totally the appeal of Hegseth’s nomination and I’m glad Thune made this strong statement in support.
