UPDATE: Senate Republicans PASS deal to replenish small business loans program after they cave to Pelosi…

As we reported yesterday, it appeared that Republicans had caved to Pelosi and now have a deal that spends almost double what they were seeking in the first place in order to replenish money for the small businesses paycheck protection program:

DC EXAMINER – Senate Republicans unveiled a deal on a new economic aid package they hope to pass Tuesday afternoon.

The bill appropriates $321 billion in additional money for a small-business loan program that was depleted of money last week.

It also includes $25 billion to boost coronavirus testing and $75 billion for hospitals and medical facilities to treat patients with the virus.

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is expected to bring the measure to the Senate floor Tuesday and attempt to pass it by unanimous consent.

Republicans initially wanted $250 billion to add to the program. But because the media covered for Pelosi holding small business hostage and she got her way, the bill now spends over 420 billion, if not more.

And of course it has taken almost 2 weeks longer to get this deal approved.

The only question remains as to whether anyone will hold up unanimous consent in the Senate and then the House. It’s been reported that the House already expects to call everyone back to vote, as Massie has indicated he may hold it up in the House.

UPDATE: The Senate passes the bill via unanimous consent. On to the HOUSE!
