Ilhan Omar actually called Israel ‘terrorists’ for defending themselves against the rocket fire coming from Gaza which puts the lives of Israeli citizens in peril:
Israeli air strikes killing civilians in Gaza is an act of terrorism.
Palestinians deserve protection.
Unlike Israel, missile defense programs, such as Iron Dome, don’t exist to protect Palestinian civilians.
It’s unconscionable to not condemn these attacks on the week of Eid. https://t.co/vWWQfMqBkT

Israel doesn’t target civilians, they target Hamas military targets. But Hamas often puts their offices, weapons, and infrastructure in areas where there are civilians. They’ve been doing this for years, using people as human shields, so that they can claim Israel is committing war crimes and try and turn the international community against them.
So for Omar to call Israel defensive strikes on Gaza an act of terrorism, it’s clear where her anti-Semitic heart really lies.
And tonight, Marco Rubio blasted her, saying she’s out of her mind with this tweet:
Here’s more on what Rubio said from the New York Post:
“Number one, the Iron Dome wouldn’t need to exist if it wasn’t for Hamas and Hezbollah,” Rubio told “Fox News Primetime.” “The reason it exists is because these terrorists have rockets and they use it to try to kill Israelis. That’s the reason why it exists.
“Number two is, the only response that you’ve seen from Israel is in response to these attacks, and they live in a very tough neighborhood and they’ve made abundantly clear if you hit us, we’re going to hit you back five times harder,” Rubio continued. “And Hamas knows that.
“This is a plan, OK? They do this knowing there’s going to be a response, knowing that innocents are going to be killed and civilians are going to be killed. They know it’s going to happen, and they deliberately want it to happen so they can get tweets like that and people around the world to take up their cause.”
On Wednesday, Israeli forces killed as many as 10 senior Hamas military figures and toppled a pair of high-rise towers housing Hamas facilities. Those offensives followed a night of rioting in the city of Lod, approximately 10 miles southeast of Tel Aviv, in which several vehicles and at least one synagogue were set ablaze.
“Islamic Jihad and Hamas, they have no problem putting the operation sites, the missile site, right next to a nursery or a hospital, or a residential building” Rubio said. “And so, at the end, yeah, I don’t care what happened on the ground in Jerusalem. The response cannot be 1,000 rockets fired into civilian areas.”
He’s absolutely right. If Palestinians don’t like Israeli forces cracking down on terrorists at their mosque on the Temple Mount, which was completely justifiable by the way, there are other ways to protest the actions without resorting to terrorism and firing a thousand rockets to try and kill innocent civilians. People like Omar who condone these rocket attacks are no different than the BLMers who condone rioting and looting over justified police shootings. Which by the way, I’m pretty sure she’s ok with rioting and looting too.
