There’s a solar eclipse happening over a good portion of America and it has already begun. You can see the moon seemingly creep its way in front of the sun as they come into alignment.

In North Carolina the moon is still in the early phases of covering the sun and it won’t be covered (85% here) until just before 3:14PM.
Consider this an open thread and enjoy the eclipse! Just don’t burn your retinas trying to look at it without protection.
