Solomon: Hunter Biden’s gas firm pals were pressing Obama admin for months, via Biden’s connections

The great thing about FOIA requests is that what you get is what you see. What I mean is, you only see what you get, the actual documentation, as opposed to seeing it presented with a bunchy of “parody” opening remarks or CNN talking heads blurring it up.

You just see the thing. And the thing that John Solomon saw was memos about Burisma, the Bidens, the Obama administration, Ukraine, etc.

Check this out.

Hunter Biden and his Ukrainian gas firm colleagues had multiple contacts with the Obama State Department during the 2016 election cycle, including one just a month before Vice President Joe Biden forced Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating his son’s company for corruption, newly released memos show.

During that February 2016 contact, a U.S. representative for Burisma Holdings sought a meeting with Undersecretary of State Catherine A. Novelli to discuss ending the corruption allegations against the Ukrainian firm where Hunter Biden worked as a board member, according to memos obtained under a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. (I filed that suit this summer with the help of the public interest law firm the Southeastern Legal Foundation.)

Just three weeks before Burisma’s overture to State, Ukrainian authorities raided the home of the oligarch who owned the gas firm and employed Hunter Biden, a signal the long-running corruption probe was escalating in the middle of the U.S. presidential election.

There is a lot more in this tangled web here, from Solomon.

On thin premises, Republicans routinely face accusation from mainstream figures on the left. That they put Trump before country, that they are treasonous or murderous or simply want you to die of not having healthcare or climate armageddon.

But here we have documents, and a narrative reported on extensively even by the maistream press months ago, before it became “a conspiracy theory”, showing at the LEAST, a very good reason to investigate the Biden connection further.

Do we get that investigation? No. It’s left to independent blogs to even mention, despite more than enough red flags to warrant the attention of reporters. Reporters who saw it that way, too, just a few months ago.

Anyway, check it out.
