Speaker Johnson doubles down on Senate foreign aid-only bill…sorta

House Speaker Johnson was asked today by a reporter about bringing the $95 billion dollar Senate foreign aid-only bill to the floor.

Here’s how that went:

I asked if he thought he’d put the senate aid bill on the floor. No. He won’t.

“I certainly [w]on’t right now. We’re dealing with the appropriations process. We have immediate deadlines upon us and that’s where the attention of the House is in this moment.“

Okay that’s not as hardcore as I was hoping he would be. I want him Speaker Johnson say he’ll NEVER put the bill on the floor like it is, especially without policies that force Biden to get the border under control.

Our border is paramount and its inexcusable that the Senate refuses to address it in a reasonable bipartisan way. He should put that bill together, pass it, and send it to the Senate.
