Spike Lee is that one dude who has to bring up 400 years of slavery at the party and ruin all the fun for everyone.
That’s what he did during his speech at the Oscars tonight:
He kinda droned on and on but at the end he mentioned the elections and said everyone needs to “mobilize” against hate:
“The 2020 presidential election is around the corner. Let’s all mobilize. Let’s all be on the right side of history. Make the moral choice between love vs. hate. Let’s do the right thing!”
He didn’t actually mention Trump by name, but we all know what he saying!!!
Anyway, that’s it for the weekend. Have an Oscars open thread.

"I've worked hard for a long time, & its not about winning. Its about not giving up. If you have a dream, fight for it. There's a discipline for passion, & its not about how many times you get rejected. It's about how many times you stand up & you keep going." - Lady Gaga #Oscars pic.twitter.com/cYg5y979gr

This is actually terrible advice. Sometimes you need to give up and move on to something else, it could end up a lot better. Also what if your dream is something horrible like serial murder or genocide or the patriots winning another superbowl or abortion or putting mayonnaise in guacamole? You need to give up on those, bro.
