States THREATEN to SUE TRUMP if he doesn’t KILL Obama’s amnesty program…

While some people still pretend that Trump is doing everything he promised, there are ten states led by Texas that are threatening to sue him if he doesn’t shut down Obama’s “Dream Act” amnesty.

President Donald Trump has let one Obama-era immigration policy continue — and conservative states are running out of patience.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was joined by his counterparts in nine other states in a letter Thursday warning Attorney General Jeff Sessions that if the Trump administration does not move to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, they will file a court challenge to the program.

At the heart of the threat is ongoing litigation in another related program — giving the attorneys general an opening to squeeze the administration on DACA.

Despite explicitly pledging during the campaign to “immediately” rescind DACA, the Trump administration has continued to honor the program and issue new permits under it.

The administration has largely tried to have it both ways, continuing the program and pledging to protect its recipients while at the same time saying that situation is not necessarily permanent and arresting individuals that officials say have lost their DACA status. The position has angered activists on both sides of the issue, who have expressed rare agreement on the frustration that the administration won’t clearly articulate its long-term plans for DACA.

Ironically, Trump shut down DAPA, the corollary to DACA, but that was stalled in the courts anyway, so it was yet another example of his exaggerating building a molehill into a mountain.

There were a few of us who predicted this, having seen him lie and exaggerate his way into the Oval Office. But we were told that we just needed to suck it up and ignore our principles for the sake of the party. How is that working out so far?
