Stormy Daniels was physically threatened…so what’s the big deal?

It’s been all over the news this morning that Stormy Daniels was threatened with physical violence or something. Here’s the story:

NY POST – The attorney for Stormy Daniels claimed Friday that the porn star had been physically threatened in connection with her alleged affair with Donald Trump, according to a report.

Michael Avenatti told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Daniels — whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — wants to “tell her story” of the affair with Trump before he assumed the presidency.

Asked if Daniels was threatened with physical harm, Avenatti said “yes” — but refused to elaborate.

He said he would “not confirm or deny” if the threats came from the president himself.

“I’m not at liberty to discuss it. You can ask it 17 different ways. I’ll give you the same answer,” Avenatti told host Mika Brzezinski.

Avenatti said more details would be revealed in an interview taped with CBS’ News “60 Minutes.” The interview is scheduled to be aired March 25.

“There’s the act and the cover-up and the American people are going to learn about both in the interview and beyond,” Avenatti said.

Doesn’t everyone who steps in the limelight get death threats and the sort? I’m not saying it isn’t important, but it’s kinda expected. And a little boring, really.

But what if it came from Trump or his henchmen? Well that would certainly be a big story, however that’s not what is being said here. In fact the lawyer isn’t saying one way or the other. He refused to elaborate more than just saying there’s a threat. And why assume it came from the president, especially when you know Trump has a lot of very devout fans, some of which don’t mind punching people at Trump rallies.

But why would he bring it up if the threat didn’t come from the president? Well there is one good reason and it’s called hype – for their upcoming 60 Minutes interview they want everyone to watch. This is Stormy’s big chance to break out of the porn industry and into something bigger and better. Also ratings!

As I’ve said before several times, the Stormy Daniels story is important. Trump covered it up and then lied about it – and in my opinion is still lying about it – and the truth needs to be exposed, as much of it has already. I could care less about the sultry details of the affair, but the fact appears to be that it happened and the truth coming out is important.

That said, I find this particular story to be ho hum at best.
