Straw Man Alert: Politico reporter says Bachmann’s migraine headaches are “fair game”

Alternate headline: Video footage confirms that Keith Olbermann really is back on television; ratings still MIA.

Um…did anyone claim that Michele Bachmann’s medical history wasn’t “fair game”? Not to my knowledge. She’s a candidate for President – of course it is fair game. Politico’s Ken Vogel is only saying that here to make Bachmann appear thin-skinned for defending herself after the Daily Caller dropped its moronic report yesterday about her migraine headaches. The problem with the DC piece is that it makes migraine headaches – a common ailment that affects millions of people and is quite manageable with medication – a potential disqualifier for being President of the United States. It is a nothing story, a pure hit job.

But don’t just take my word for it – take Ken Vogul’s. That’s right – in this same segment, Vogul also describes the Daily Caller report on Bachmann’s migraines as a “hit job” (as does Olbermann).

How can something that is fair game also be a considered a hit job? Answer: Liberals believe hit jobs are fair game – so long as they are targeted at strong conservatives candidates for President who pose a clear threat to Barack Obama. Just imagine how quickly this story would be dismissed by the MSM – and rightly so – if Obama had migraines and conservatives suggested they might impede his ability to serve as President.

Toward the end of the clip, Vogul also brings up Brian Ross’ allegations that he was roughed-up “mafia-style” by two Bachmann staffers towards the end of this clip. We here at the Right Scoop are anxiously awaiting that shocking video footage to be released by ABC News.

Any minute now…
