Ukraine’s defense ministry released footage on Saturday captured footage they say shows a Russian Mi-24 Hind being struck and destroyed by a guided missile. It’s absolutely stunning footage.
“Before it can even launch countermeasure flares, the rocket strikes the helicopter and turns it into a ball of flame,” The Sun wrote in its dramatic play-by-play. “It hurtles through the air before exploding as it crashes into a field – with a town visible in the background of the footage.”
Watch:
Russia has not been able to establish air superiority. Ukraine says this is just one of more than thirty helicopter they’ve taken down. That’s not even counting fighters or bombers.
Here’s footage that came out earlier in the invasion that is also quite dramatic.
Russian choppers Mi-8/Mi-24, at #Gostomel airfield, during a flight ovr the Kyiv/Kiev reservoir
The footage reveals 1 Mi-24 helicopter was shot down, probably by Ukrainian Army or Territorial Defence Forces units with MANPADs

Meanwhile the State Dept. has updated their travel advisory and evacuation recommendation for Americans in Russia, saying ” U.S. citizens should depart Russia immediately.”
I mean come on folks, what are you doing? Get out of there. Biden ain’t coming to get ya, ask anyone who was in Afghanistan — or still is.
