Supreme Court to hear ‘Remain in Mexico’ case against Biden

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the ‘Remain in Mexico’ case against Biden, where the lower courts have said Biden must keep the agreement going despite him nixing it when he came into office.

NEWSMAX – The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear President Joe Biden’s bid to rescind a hardline immigration policy begun under predecessor Donald Trump that forced tens of thousands of migrants to stay in Mexico to await U.S. hearings on their asylum claims.

The justices will hear a Biden administration appeal of a lower court ruling that reinstated the so-called “remain in Mexico” policy after the Republican-led states of Texas and Missouri had sued to maintain the program.

Biden suspended the policy, which changed longstanding U.S. practice, shortly after taking office last year.

The policy is formally called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP).

Texas AG Ken Paxton tweeted that he’s won in lower courts and will win at the Supreme Court as well:

Let’s hope he does win again. Biden isn’t doing much of anything to stop the flow of illegals across the border so something needs to happen. Although I have little confidence that Biden will re-implement the policy in a timely fashion. I expect him to slow-walk it as long as he can to get as many new Democrat voters here as possible.
