Susan Collins is in effect calling out House Democrats for rushing the process of impeachment, citing the new impeachment information they are sending to the Senate:
.@SenatorCollins “I’m perplexed that the house is sending over some additional information which should’ve been included earlier it appears.”
Q: It was just made available.
COLLINS: “Then that means the house rushed their proceedings, doesn’t it.”— julie faye tsirkin (@julietsirkin) January 15, 2020
See what Collins did there? When the NBC reporter defends the House, saying the information has only now come available, Collins masterfully points out that no, this is proof that they House rushed their impeachment.
This new information Collins is referring to are notes that were taken by an associate of Rudy Giuliani, named Lev Parnas. You can see them in this PDF file here released by shifty Schiff’s Intel Committee.
Also, as predicted, the House just voted to transmit the impeachment articles to the Senate:
House votes to send articles of impeachment to the Senate and appoint the Democrats’ seven-member impeachment managers. The vote was 228-193
