I mentioned this in the post on Bolsonaro becoming infected, but given the interview Ted Cruz did with CBS This Morning I thought it would be good to give this news its own post. In short, Ted Cruz is extending his self-quarantine until next week because of a 2nd interaction with someone who is now testing positive for the coronavirus:
Today I released the following statement on my decision to extend my self-quarantine until March 17 out of an abundance of caution and to give everyone peace of mind: pic.twitter.com/BfleLLXAfz

Cruz answered some good questions about his self-quarantine when he was on with CBS This Morning via phone today:
Cruz said his interaction with the Spanish official who is now testing positive for the coronavirus was about 20 minutes in his office for a meeting on March 3. Thus he’s extending his self-quarantine to the 17th.
When asked if he had been tested yet, Cruz said “no” and explained that his doctors told him the testing wouldn’t do any good if he weren’t symptomatic. Apparently there’s not enough virus in your system to register if you don’t have symptoms.
Aside from the CBS This Morning crew tying to get him to attack Trump for not self-quarantining, it was a good interview and one you should listen to if you want to know more about Cruz and his self-quarantine.
