Ted Cruz hit the NY Times hard a few minutes ago over their phony smear Kavanaugh article this weekend:
READ stunning NYT CORRECTION. If a high-school freshman did this on a school paper, he’d get an F. This is an outfit that has won multiple Pulitzers; presumably they know how to be actual journalists. It’s almost as if the reporters, editors, publisher have a political agenda…. https://t.co/8YrwOJJTQE

The correction, written by NYT, reads: “the female student declined to be interviewed & friends say that SHE DOES NOT RECALL the incident. That information has been added to the article.” Please, somebody, try to give an explanation for omitting that central fact other than bias.
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) September 16, 2019
Exactly. They do know how to be journalists, yet they left out the most important fact of all in order to send the 24 hour news cycle into a frenzy. Will they give an explanation for this epic omission? No, because then they’d have to admit that they do have a political agenda, just as Cruz suggests.
Cru then questioned whether any of the 2020 Democrats, who called for Kavanaugh’s impeachment over this fake news attack piece, will retract:
Given the NYT “correction,” what are the odds that any of the 2020 Dem presidentials who relied on the NYT story to call for impeaching Kavanaugh (at last count, Warren, Sanders, Harris, Castro, O'Rourke & Booker) will modify or retract their own partisan position? ZERO.
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) September 16, 2019
Yep, Zero.
They know it will look bad for them among Democratic voters to suggest anything other than Kavanaugh’s impeachment. Because it’s all about abortion, just as we’ve been saying all along. It doesn’t matter if the news media produces phony hit pieces that are factually incorrect. What matters is keeping Kavanaugh from being able to cast a vote reversing Roe vs. Wade. And the only answer to that is impeachment.
