If you liked Tom Cotton’s questioning of Merrick Garland over the NSBA letter and his subsequent directive, then you’re going to LOVE this video of Ted Cruz obliterating Garland over the same thing, but from a somewhat different perspective.

This video is way too long to transcribe, but the short version is that Cruz exposed Garland for not even caring enough to investigate the news articles listed in the letter which was the basis for his directive.
Cruz asked Garland how many of the incidents referenced in the article were violent and Garland had no clue. Cruz did a quick check during the hearing and noted that, on the face of it, most of them were just insults and non-violent. He then pointed out that Garland wrote in the first line of his memo that “in recent months there’s been a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence.”
Garland admitted that he didn’t bother to check them and it just went downhill from there.
