Yesterday Stephen King was encouraging Texans to not vote for Ted Cruz in November while disparaging his looks all the while:

Ted Cruz just responded to King’s remarks with a jab of his own:

To be honest, I don’t get it completely. It might help if I’d watched more Stephen King movies growing up. But I do get the general gist of what he’s saying.
So what do you think? Is this a top-notch burn or did Cruz get a little too clever with his comeback?
