Alyssa Milano is very upset that a Texas Congressman said on Twitter this weekend that he’s not going to use the evil acts of these mass shooters to diminish the God-given rights of Americans to own guns:

“Clearly owned by the gun lobby”. How sad is it that standing up for the Constitution means, to libs like Milano, a Congressman is bought and paid for by the gun lobby. Maybe she should consider that Schaefer is simply being loyal to the oath he took to defend the Constitution against ALL enemies. That’s right, I said it!
In any event, Ted Cruz saw Milano’s tweet and decided it was time to step in and explain to Milano why exactly the Constitution protects our “God-given” right to bear arms:

I especially loved his point about abolitionist St. George Tucker and his defense of guns and liberty; And then to point out how, via Jim Crow laws, the KKK and segregationists tried to disarm black Americans to keep them from being able to protect themselves and their families. Masterful. Well done Senator Cruz!
