“That sounds an awful lot like a coup and it could well be treason” – Liz Cheney defends AG Barr investigation

This is a great clip by Liz Cheney where she’s not afraid to call it like she sees it while defending the investigation of AG Barr:

I love how Cheney forced the interview go to on her terms. The ABC host wanted to talk about Trump’s tweeting and Cheney’s like ‘hey remember Strzok and Page’?

Also she hits back at the media untruth that Congress didn’t get the full Mueller report, noting that only small parts of it weren’t seen by members of Congress and that was due to the law.

And lastly, I’m so glad Cheney said that she had full confidence in AG Barr and his judgment when declassifying information. The ABC host and others in the media would have you believe that he’s going to compromise sources and methods, which is absurd. If he were reckless and imprudent he wouldn’t have stood his ground protecting the grand jury information in the Mueller report.

No doubt if democrats found out today that someone in the outgoing Bush administration had made similar text and comments as Page and Strzok regarding Obama they would demand an investigation and all documents released to their entirety. Methods and techniques be damned.

In the very near future I hope to see Liz Cheney as either the Speaker of the House, or the Leader of the GOP in the Senate. She is brilliant, articulate, and media savvy. She could bridge the gap between the Trump supporters, and the Bush Wing of the GOP. There is no ambiguity with her.

AG Barr has as high a security clearance as Hillary Clinton had. I’m 100% positive he will handle this information with much more care than she did.

Naturally the Democrats in Congress want to have it both ways. They thought nothing of unredacting proprietary information from the Mueller report, but when it comes to declassifying documents which may incriminate people on THEIR side, they’re just filled with outrage about how national security could be compromised!

“We had people that are at the highest levels of our law enforcement … saying that they were going to stop a duly elected president of the United States.” The entire Democrat Party, whose mantra following Trump’s election was, and continues to be, “RESIST!!” also is doing everything they can to destroy Trump and the will of the American people. The Democrat Party (including RINOs) and their toadies, the mainstream media, refuse to allow American votes to prevail…how can this be permitted to stand?! Freedom of the Press was intended, by our founders, to advocate for the people of this country, not a particular political party or 1 or a few evil ugly white guy’s private agendas (satan-soros and steyer to name two). Otherwise, why wouldn’t we still be under the British Monarchy? Democrats have no respect for freedom, liberty or individual success unless it is their own. They are… Read more »

I wonder if Brennan, Clapper, Comey, et al. have a good team of lawyers… they’ll have a lot of explaining to do.

Russia only wishes they could have done 1% of the damage Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Ohr, Clinton, Obama, et al. have done to the Republic. I’m glad President Trump withstood the onslaught and I agree with him, “no other President should go through what I have gone through.”

Everyone needs to stop throwing around the T word. There’s a reason that the founding fathers saw fit to make treason literally the only crime defined in the Constitution, and this doesn’t even come close to fitting that definition. All tossing around the term like this does is prove their wisdom.

The crime of treason is very narrowly defined in the Constitution, but the meaning of the word “treason” is actually very broad. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/treason treason: noun 1. the offense of acting to overthrow one’s government or to harm or kill its sovereign. 2. a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state. 3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery. The narrow definition in the Constitution is meant to protect the government from abusing the charge of treason against political enemies. Which I support, as an important limit to the power of the government. But treason is more than just the crime. And that’s why you’ll continue to hear the word used whenever it applies, even if it’s not prosecutable as such. For example, when intelligence agencies and law enforcement abuse their authority and violate their oaths to the Constitution in order to meddle in… Read more »

Thank you for teaching me about dictionaries. I never knew that the dictionary definition of a word and the legal definition of a word could be different. That’s why I’ve never used a legal dictionary before, because what’s the point of those things, amirite? Anyhow, mind, blown.

Seriously, this woman is a lawmaker. She shouldn’t casually throw around the word treason.

They told me it was racist and I should throw it out because it made it sound like there were two sets of laws based on skin color.

I think we throw the words “coup” and “treason” around a little too much these days. Kinda like the other side does with “nazi” and “fascist.”

“The ABC host and others in the media would have you believe that he’s going to compromise sources and methods”

Never forget the NY Times will/has publish(ed) anything they want regardless of the consequences.

That’s how the MSM and the RATS in the IC behind the attempted coup will try to hide… behind “sources and methods will be compromised” ruse…

I’m surprised Cheney use the term TREASON.

Once again, the liberal tries to have it both ways. First, opposing the release of an un-redacted report shows that Trump is hiding something.

Then, when he says he wants the declassified report released, without redaction, suddenly, he’s threatening national security.

It sound, to me, like it’s becoming very apparent who really is trying to hide something. I’m not a Trump supporter, and I won’t vote for him, this time, but I can definitely see bias and conspiracy when it raises it’s head, and I’ve been seeing this, since the moment he announced his candidacy.

To those who’ve lost loved ones serving our great nation, we thank you for their incredible sacrifice, and yours.

Even with all of the problems we have in this country, Trump is definitely not one of them, America is still the greatest place to live on earth. We are a great compassionate people.

To those that disagree, especially those desperate D presidential candidates, please leave your Malibu luxury for a week and visit a war torn country and see how they live. Their children will not be educated or play in parks. They will spend their lives surrounded by war, disease and poverty.

I spent a year of my life on the ground in Afghanistan (2004-2005). We are truly blessed here.

Hope you all have a great Memorial weekend.

Up until two years ago I never thought I would hear the word “coup” when American politics were discussed, but now it seems that’s what some of the malcontent in the Department of Justice and probably other agencies were trying to achieve. Un…freaking…believable!!!! People need to be severely punished for their treasonable actions!!!!

It was an appropriate punishment imo.

I’m OK with tarring & feathering or even hanging em high, but I doubt we’ll get that. I’ll settle for time in the Crowbar Motel and them being shunned and living humiliated and penniless for the rest of their lives.

The question by the ugly reporter was disingenuous and intellectually dishonest….”are you worried that sources and methods could be revealed…?”

Democrats didn’t care about sources and methods at all when they demanded that 100% of the Mueller report be released. It was only because of Barr that sources and methods were protected.

Now the Democrats are claiming they worry about sources and methods. They are so unbelievably corrupt and transparently dishonest.
