“That won’t do it” – Shep Smith rebuffs Gillum’s explanation on how he’s gonna pay for his socialist agenda

Today Andrew Gillum, the Democrat contender for Governor who is also a Bernie socialist, was on with Shep Smith.

In that interview, Shep Smith asked Gillum how he was gonna pay for his socialist agenda of universal health care and ‘lots more money’ for schools.

Watch (it’s cued up to 2:23):

Gillum’s actual proposal is to raise the corporate tax rate from 5.5% to 7.75%. Now that may not sound like a lot, but that’s just over a 40% increase. And according to Americans for Tax Reform, that does equate to over one billion dollars, as Gillum said.

But as Shep quickly and tersely noted, “That won’t do it”. And he’s right. Florida already budgets over $22 billion for education. Another billion doesn’t sound like a lot over a big state like Florida. Not to mention that taxpayers will be paying for that billion dollar tax increase.

Also, is that one billion supposed to also pay for universal healthcare? Shep asked about that too.

The truth is, just like with all socialists, they’ll have to heavily increase taxes across the board to pay for all of this socialist garbage. And at the end of the day, Florida isn’t that dumb.

DeSantis will roll over Gillum like he’s not even there.
