Sean Spicer today was asked by a reporter why Trump can respond to Nordstrom but not make a statement on the mosque shooting in Canada. But Spicer told this reporter that he literally opened a briefing the other day with a statement on the mosque shooting.
The reporter replied that Trump didn’t tweet about it, but an indignant Spicer responded asking the reporter if he was comparing a tweet to a statement read at the press briefing, and then told the reporter that was the silliest thing he’d ever heard before shutting him down and moving on.
Watch:
This is a great example of how some reporters are trying their hardest to attack Trump over every little thing.
Trump has a statement read at the press briefing by the spokesman for the White House, but because he doesn’t tweet it, it’s now a big issue? C’mon.
Presidents communicate in variety of ways. Trump has expanded that to Twitter on a daily basis, but that doesn’t mean he has to communicate everything on Twitter.
This reporter, whoever he is, deserved to be shut down for asking a stupid question.
