Oh boy, this one is a doozy. Donna Brazile lied about the constitutional right to free speech, and ironically, it was about whether you have the right to lie under the First Amendment. Check this out at about the 6:40 minute mark:
The reaction from the panel is pretty great. There’s a second of complete confusion and then, wait a minute, actually, YES you can lie under the First Amendment! LOL!! What the heck is she talking about?!
It’s not even a matter of whether you should lie, but that if you tell the government that they can ban people from lying, then you give the government the power to DETERMINE what is truth and what is a lie. And that’s what we call a slippery slope to tyranny, folks.
Nice try, though, Donna. Enjoyed watching you faceplant on that one.
