The ONLY two things we NEED to hear from Robert Redfield’s Covid interview on Fox

Spin is when people take an aspect of an issue or an interview or a story and make that part sound, in isolation, like it supports whatever point or political idea they want it sound like. So the spin on former CDC director Robert Redfield’s Fox News appearance today is a mess.

It’s easy to isolate things from an interview and highlight them. You could bash him being a big supporter of vaccines. You could bash him for not being pro vaccine enough. You could attack him for saying everyone should keep getting boosters, you could attack him for not attacking people who don’t get boosters, you could attack him for trying to have his booster and eat it too.

I mean you really can. Go ahead, I don’t care. But that doesn’t mean he didn’t also say two things that the LIB DEM COVID ARISTROCRACY NEED TO HEAR.

A: Covid might be around permanently and won’t be eradicated with or without vaccines.

B: You cannot keep people locked up, businesses shut down, and masks on faces because of (A) and because human beings have to live life.

Now, look, if you’re a conservative right winger who believes in individual liberty, you don’t have to give a good ding dong damn what ex CDC director Robert Redfield has to say.

But you libs? You Democrats who kneel and face Stockholm three times a day to pray to science? You woke progressive virtue signal loons? YOU DO HAVE TO CARE. These are your rules. You have to listen. He is an expert. You are not. He is saying people can’t be locked up forever. You have to listen.

“We gotta move on,” he said. So you have to.

Because you see, I don’t have to care what Robert Redfield formerly of the CDC has to say. But if Jake Tapper and Brian Stelter and Joy Reid and The Squad ignore him?

Well then they aren’t just hypocrites, they’re heretics.

Open everything and end mandates and also open thread. (But participation is not mandated.)

Consider this an OPEN THREAD.
